Personal Narrative: I Disagree With Your Last Sentence

Satisfactory Essays
I agree with your last sentences. Our parents want the best for us, but when we are young, we just do what we want to. My mother always wanted the best for me, but like the narrator, I ignored her. Being a adult now, I understand where my mother was coming from. Like the narrator's mother, my mother came from a deprived background and wanted me to be successful so I wouldn't suffer like her.

I lived in a household where everyone spoke Spanish. At three, I was speaking these long Spanish sentences but I was not proud. My sister, a year older than me, had already started school. She would come back to confuse my family. Ordinarily, my parents with the first years they spent in Florida soon caught up with the language. I prepare for soccer games like it's the last game I will every play. Later I just end up frustrated with the referee. In the game of soccer, I found that referees can be unfair. Referees can either cost a team the game or favor the other team with uneven enforcement calls, assisting them to a win. Not all referees are unfair, but from my experience a lot are. This past soccer season, I had an away game. In this game, our team only had a center referee, with no assistant referees. I lace up my shoes…
