Personal Narrative: How Technology Changed My Life

I’ve been using technology ever since I was in elementary. And as I grew older it became a bigger and bigger part of my life. When I reached middle school, technology was part of my daily life, using it for homework, entertainment, and research. During this time, I’ve become and avid gamer, I own all consoles and a game collection big enough to bankrupt a small country. Though, this became a problem. Because I like games so much, I always wanted to get new ones. And games these days are expensive, especially when 4 or 5 come out every fall going for 60 dollars each. Games have always made saving money difficult for me. Through my life technology always seemed to have a problem. I like it when things work flawlessly, but when they don’t, it really frustrates me. For example, something that always irritated me was when I play an online game and then I would get poor internet connection.
In my earlier years my family took me camping to a lake. My cousins came as well, which made it even more enjoyable. When we arrived at the campsite, I was in awe. It was something out of a Disney movie. There were towering pine trees shielding us from the sun’s rays. Wild plants and bushes surrounded our campsite, but not too far away was a clearing in the bushes where we can see the lake in all its glory. People were fishing, kayaking, swimming, and playing with their dogs. The day after we arrived, my cousins and I went hiking. There was no path we just chose a direction and stuck to it. Eventually we got to a little stream and decided to follow it. When my cousins go hiking they go fast. They jog the entire trip and leap over tree trunks that were probably almost my size at the time. They don’t stop until they find a point of interest. But I was able to keep up alright. Although I don’t remember much from that hike, I still see it as a good
