“If I told the police what you just admitted, you would deny it, and we both know it,” Andrew said, knowing he needed to take care of this little, evil troublemaker. “How much spending money do you need?”
“Well, now, let me think about it for a minute, I want to be reasonable. With all the money, you make at the drug store. You could afford $800 a month to start. Remember, I know how much you make,” Nancy said and snickered.
“What do you mean to start?” He asked, knowing what she meant.
“From time to time, I’ll need a raise. The drug store gives you a raise. I should have one.”

“Margaret, look at this,” he said, going into the kitchen. “That poor girl is missing.”
“She is going to remain lost,” Shaking his fist, laughing Andrew said, “and I’m going to save $800.00 a month.”
After a long morning, Andrew needed an afternoon break on the way back to the counter, he recognized a detective looking around, but didn’t remember his name and asked, “Hello there, may I help you?”
“Oh no, I just stopped in to get something to drink and started browsing. How’s the pill business?” Certain the detective was onto something, Andrew excused himself, by saying he needed to get back to work.
“Just a minute, what do you think happened to that boy after he left your house?” The detective asked.
“I don’t know, but I sure don’t have him locked in my basement. Your guys checked my house several times and found nothing,” Andrew said and added. One dog went wild trying to get into our yard.”
“What did you do?”
“I asked what was wrong with his dog,” Andrew said. “He said both dogs are training to be cadaver dogs and one is ready to go to work. The other one is new and has a mind of his own. The other day he saw the cat in the yard and tried to get it. Now, every time he sees the cat, he goes wild.”
“What are we going to do? I’m scared of the dog,” Margaret said. “He promised to find another route tomorrow. Wait a few days, and see what he does. I told him, you were sleeping and the barking would wake you. Don’t worry; everything will be fine. Remember, we are the pillars of society around here.”
Sitting beside her on the sofa, he asked, “Are you alright?”

After a long day, Andrew arrived home tired, even though, Margaret had prepared a tasty dinner, he insisted on resting in his Lazy Boy chair before eating. The phone rang, answering the phone, Bill asked, “Andrew, are you busy?”
He knew by the tone of his voice something was wrong, Andrew said, “I’m never too busy to talk to my friend. What’s on your mind? You sound as though you are about to lose
