When I started out I really wanted to volunteer at the local school but unfortunately that did not plan out. I always think that everything happens for a reason and working a feed my starving children really made me feel like i was making a difference even when I was doing the small jobs. Feed my starving children is a nonprofit faith based organization that is devoted to feeding the hungry in different countries all around the world. Over the stations they have the names of the places that the food goes to. I did two 5 hour shifts just because it was something I actually had fun with and felt like I could keep going. Something I found really interesting when talking to the workers there was that when they drop the food off they have to be …show more content…
My job the first day was stickering the bags and then placing them at each station. The stickers were the expiration date and we would drop them off at each table so the table could fill them up with the food. We actually had to sticker pretty fast to keep up with the people packing the food. The second day was a little different for me. I've done feed my starving children in the past and has always packed the food and never work in the warehouse. I never worked in the warehouse because I was honestly scared because they always said you had to be strong and being honest I thought I was pretty week. The group that was there that day was a bunch of kids so there was only about 5 adults including me so I knew I had to step up and do warehouse. My job was to shovel the grains into a big bin that we place in front of the food packers to cup there food into the bag. It was easy at first but doing it for 5 hours was very hard and safe to say I was actually very sore the next day. I really enjoyed volunteering at Feed My Starving Children, It really confirmed what I wanted to do for my career

In conclusion, Feed My Starving Children was a great cause for us to use in our project. But in retrospect our team consensus was that there were entirely too many teams that selected the same project. It was a bit disheartening when we realized that others had similar presentations. In comparison to previous group projects, Com Champs has been efficient and rewarding for us as a team. A major factor for the success of our team would have to be setting the proper expectation and culture of what we…

stickers on the boxing table. I found myself yelling “Box X” a lot this semester because I completed my service hours at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), an organization dedicated to ending world hunger. At FMSC, I packed and boxed food, helping the organization provide food for those in need. I faced some challenges at FMSC, but the rewards of my service far outweighed any challenge I faced. . My service reflected that the Church is catholic, because FMSC, a Christian charity, is universal.…

Reflection on Feed My Starving Children Going to feed my Starving Children was a great experience for me. From the name of it I thought that we would be putting nonperishable items into a box for families. When I got to the building and seeing what was there I was very surprised to see what it was actually. When I was there with my classmates I think we had a good time putting the dry ingredients into a plastic bag that was sealed up and put into a box to be shipped somewhere. Not knowing…

ago, I participated in my football team’s monthly Feed-the-Homeless trip. During the time, my coach made the trip it manually for each player to participate in the trip at least once. I decided to participate during June, knowing that I had to do at least once. As the time came, I eventually started to walk to the church (which so happened to be the one across the street from my house). While walking to the church, I thought about what was going see on the trip. As some of my other teammates participated…

We all have had CPR and first aid training so we were comfortable with handling the case until the ambulance reached us. However, we were not so prepared when the child stopped breathing. This was a learning experience, but I do not want to do it again. I want all my children safe and…
