Everyone thinks that Disney World is fun but when I was 4 I thought it was scary. All of those princess’ and scary statues scared me. But the rides were even worse. When I saw the Rockin’ Rollercoaster I freaked out. I knew that my mom would make me try a new something new like the Rockin Rollercoaster. And that's exactly what she did. I woke up feeling so excited. Once we got everything we needed, we were out the door and into the car. We left real quick so we could find a parking spot.I couldn’t wait to get there and ride the roller coasters, Mr. Freeze, The Boss, etc., but the one ride that I really wanted to go on was The Batman. The ride looked so awesome. I heard that you go upside down during the ride.…

that started with a steep hill and then took multiple turns before you were dumped into the golf course which would slowly stop you. It wasn’t until we got to the top of the hill until I realized the magnitude of the hill. But, being too excited to break out my go-kart I was excited to go down the roller coaster like hill.…

The Fury, the fastest, longest, and tallest rollercoaster on the East Coast. With a top speed of 95 mph and a height of 325 feet makes it the biggest rollercoaster I had ever gotten on, beating the Intimidator 305 by 25 feet. I remember seeing on television and wanting to ride it really badly. It just looked so amazing and since I love rollercoasters and love riding rollercoasters, I knew it was something I had to do. I had ridden lots of rollercoasters before this one such as the Intimidator 305 and the Top Thrill Dragster, which I had enjoyed riding very much, and I figured that the Fury would be just as good. So I asked my parents of we could go to the Carrowinds to ride the Fury. They said yes and we went with my aunt to the Carrowinds.…

Six years later, but time still hadn’t changed my opinion. I looked at the ride, the unforgiving sun glinting on the cold steel. An icy shiver ran down my spine, my palms getting clammier by the minute. I glanced at my friend, jealous of her indifference. Hanging onto the railing, I silently cursed myself for being so afraid. So weak. This wasn’t about riding a roller coaster that scared me out of my wits anymore; it was about proving that I could conquer my fears. My pride wouldn’t let me have it any other way. From the moment that I agreed to go on the ride, I knew that I would have to follow through with my decision. I couldn’t be that little girl who was too frightened to have fun anymore. I didn’t want to be the one left on the bench while her friends ran off to enjoy themselves. The only way to change that would be to prove everyone wrong. To prove myself…

After we went to the bathroom and changed our wet cloth to our dry cloth, we headed straight for the roller coaster. I’m not going to lie, I was afraid if most of them, but my big brother told me it’s not scary it is fun. That made me feel brave and bold. The first ride I rode was the Fiesta Texas, where you go up and fall straight down. I was terrified, but after I saw a five year old looking boy get off, I wasn’t going to let him be braver than me. It was finally my turn. When we were going higher, I could see the people as dots, I thought in my mind I…

At the beginning of this past summer my family and I decided to go to Branson. While we were there we did Silver Dollar City. We went in after 3 on Sunday and got Monday free because of the deal the park has. On the last day at the park I finally decided that I was going to ride Wildfire; Silver Dollar City’s biggest roller coaster. The reason I finally concluded to ride it was because I did not know the next time that I would get back; I wanted to be able to say I rode it and did not want to regret or always have wished that I would have. As my family and I walked up to ride Wildfire, I had butterflies the whole time. We walked right onto the roller coaster. As we sat down in the seats I clicked in the buckles and pulled my harness down.…

My church was having a trip to Six Flags and I didn’t want to miss it. Since we are in Killen and Dallas is a 3hr drive we decided to leave early (I’m guessing that’s the reason why). I got to church sometime around 6:30- 6:45 and left sometime around 7:00. We talked, listened to music and slept like on any trip. And it wasn’t all that exciting till we actually got there. Since this was my first trip there, i was VERY excited and anxious to ride the roller coasters. So we got there and walked around and decided to ride the titan. The Titan was the craziest roller coaster of them all. Now when you’ve never been on a roller coaster, the one thing you don’t know is that, they are MUCH bigger then they look. Before I actually rode the Titan, I did not think we were going to be so high up. We just kept going up..... And up..... And up...... and up..... And up.....…

The ride was breath taking, the refreshing breeze of the night felt out of this world as we reached the top of the ride. And we could view the entire fair midway, with all its gorgeous lights. We decided to limit the amount of rides we rode that night with just one other, since we all still had full stomachs and being afraid of getting sick. The last ride we decided to venture a chance on, the Tilt-A-Whirl, which might not have been the best idea. We seemed to proceed off the ride without some horrible mishaps.…

I still remember exactly what I was feeling as I walked up to “Wild Fire”, the fifteen story ride that with my luck included a full loop, corkscrew, and high-speed spiral. It was the perfect day to be at an amusement park, with no clouds in the sky and the park in a busy chaos. I was with my family and two best friends as they were on a mission to complete every roller coaster in the park. I, on the other hand, was just hoping that I would enjoy the rides originally created for ten year olds. Half way in our journey through Silver Dollar City, I had managed to skip nearly all the rides my family rode, including a mini roller coaster that still did a wonderful job of scaring me just by watching the coaster crawl up the…
