Personal Narrative-Deming High School

Deming High School

It was a Tuesday in Sparta. The cars were bubbling, kids were crystal porting. I spotted my best friend Urina she is very rebellious just like me. I taught her everything she knows. She isn’t as hard to spot since her and I both have midnight black hair, everybody else’s’ hair is blonde. So it’s easier for us to stand out. The sky was filled with kids all around us. During the walk to school we passed by the Time square building. It’s the only building that was taller than all of the other buildings. It had a sphere on top of it surrounded by rings. According to the robot teachers the rings represent a bond for our people. Which I hardly believe is true because the council is never there for us. We have to do what they say and wear what they give us plus serve them. “Urina and Nobely late as always I presume you were getting into trouble again.” The teacher huffed.

Maybe her disappearance had something to do with that lady I saw earlier. When I turned on the lights and the light shown on the black walls and I saw something. Some kind of boxed shape thing was on my desk. It had a bow and paper on it. I wonder what it is, as I opened it was a film disc. I put the disc inside the computer, and pressed play. I can’t believe this it’s the lady I saw with the pink hair outside my window. “Hello Nobely. My name is Coral, I work for the rebellious group against the council. We believe that the government are hiding something and that’s why we are recruiting you to help us expose the government for who they really are. Plus you can find out the truth about what really happened to your friend. Meet me by the outskirts of town by 4:30 p.m. and make sure nobody follows you. Or else you ever loved or cared about will be in danger.” And with that the disc vanished into purple smoke. I guess I’m going to meet her, and with that I went off to

I learned a lesson all the way back in first grade, and that lesson has stuck with me ever since. I was coming in from recess, and I was talking to a friend of mine off to my left. Unfortunately, I was not watching where I was going. I kept barely taking glances of what was in front of me, and that was a huge mistake. Someone was running behind me, and wasn’t watching where they were going either. As I approached the building I heard yelling, but thought nothing of it. After all, recess had just finished, so obviously kids would be yelling, right? It turns out some kids had been playing tag, and decided to play until they got inside. One that was still running away, because God forbid he’d be “it,” was Nick.…

However, based on the victim's mother’s testimony, Maddie Fynn has turned into a burning enigma.” During an interview with Tibbolt’s mother, the mother claimed that Fynn could tell when Tibbolt was going to die, and as a result, Fynn ‘threatened’ her to take action before her son dies.…

Throughout my years of high school I have always strived for the best grades that I could attain, and they didn’t come easy. There were plenty of distractions that had driven me off course. Whether it was long hours at practice, volunteering for my community, or having a part-time job, I couldn’t let these activities hinder my grades. This purpose had sprung in me, to not only strive in my extracurricular activities, but also my schoolwork. Balancing both school and additional activities wasn’t a simple task. This led me to many sleepless nights, in which I had to tutor myself on certain topics I was struggling on. This ranged from my hardest subject, to studying extra hours on my hardest class, and even simple topics that I needed extra work…

“Skrt skrt!” The brand new 2003 minivan door slowly slid closed as my mom held my hand. My first day of kindergarten started walking through the rocky terrain up to Jacobson Elementary School on a hot, summer morning. Prepared with my lunch box full of goodies and plaid backpack weighing me down, I walked through the gates to the kindergarten playground. My mom helped me find the girl I met on “Meet the Teacher Night” and stayed close by as we played in the ant-infested, wood chip playground. Then suddenly, in the middle of making a wood chip pancake, the bell rang as if it was taunting me, I knew what was about to happen and so did my mother as I watched her face droop more and more as the bell rang it’s three chimes. My mom walked with me to the wall my teacher designated as the wall to line up on. My hand started to constrict around my mother’s as we approached the wall, as we got closer my knuckles began to turn white. My teacher, Mrs. Priest, announced it was time for the parents to leave.…

In grade 6 I went to a great school called David Leeder Middle School. Even though none of my friends from grade 5 were in my class, I had an amazing year. All of my teachers were fabulous except for one. My math and science teacher was the worst teacher I had ever had. I remember that she would always yell at us for asking her questions about our work. In grade 7, I was also in David Leeder, but this was the best year I had ever had in my life. Every single teacher of mine were very good and they taught everything very thoroughly. Also, I made a lot of friends during this year. Academically I had the best year and I took part in extra curriculars such as soccer and volleyball. During these two years I went to Pakistan, I went to New York…

These past few years at Lionville Middle School have been some of the most memorable and exciting parts of my life. I came to Lionville Middle School from Shamona Creek Elementary. Shamona Creek elementary was much smaller than the gargantuan, new middle school. Also, there were so many more students and teachers. I expected the middle school to be filled to the brim with classrooms and I was correct. Some of my first memories here are quietly coming into the school and looking for my classroom. I did not even know where to go or how to get there. All around I saw kids getting to their classes right away, while I was stuck in the hallways. Fortunately, I saw a friend and followed him toward my new classroom. When I got my new locker, I had…

The tension began to overlay the dark hall as I stood on the stage. Spotlights bored into my composure, illuminating my anxiety to the shadowy faces in the crowd. My partners and I were eagerly waiting for the results: the ultimate critique of our work. For the past six months, we had been feverishly perfecting our business financial plan for the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) state conference. Through countless hours and late nights, we finally arrived on the daunting stage as a finalist.…

I was the kind of guy who always strove in order to get the highest grades but yet hadn’t decided what to do in the future. I wasn’t worried, I knew someday I would find something in what I was good at. I got to live with that thought for some time until I got to attend middle school, where I stopped worrying about my grades and managed only to pass the subjects. I spent most of my time sleeping due to the frustration of not knowing what to do in the future. Most of my middle school experience was tasteless. I hadn’t friends at all, and teachers used to discourage their students about their future. “You're not going to college, you’ll not be able to do it because you’re poor” used to say, Mrs. Vazquez, the math teacher who instead of giving her class, talked on how much his son had accomplished in college and how we would not be able to attend. That was about to change.…
