Personal Narrative: An Important Game Of Soccer
It's the day of the of one of my soccer games, it is not an important game, but I would still like to win. First I have to survive school, but since I have something to look forward to the day goes by pretty fast. Before I know it the day's over and i'm on the bus ride home I arrive at my house and I prepare for my game. I put all my gear on and I eat a sandwich before the game so i’m not starving during my game, it was pretty good. Then I hop in the car and head to the game with my family. When I arrive, we warm up by shooting goals and practicing dribbling. The other team gets here they look decent but I bet we can beat them. Then the referee's call us over to check us in, they have to make sure we don't have toe cleats and have shin guards. Then we hear the coach call …show more content…
When I get the ball I take it up field I shoot and that's when I score my 10th goal of the game. I stop trying to score and give my teammates a chance to score. I pass the ball to Daniel and he puts it in the goal. I don't need to score because an assist is almost as good as a goal and I already have ten. Then My coach moves me to defend. I hate defender, but it's the coaches choice. That doesn't stop me, I get one more goal as a defender! Then I go back to a defender's job and stop them from scoring. That's when I hear it the refs whistle blowing the game ends, we win. We jog off the field celebrating because of a massive victory. We high-five the other team then we go by our coach. Our coach tells us we did great and everybody agrees and that 21 to 0 is the highest score we’ve ever seen. I'm happy because I had 11 goals and around 5 assist. We head home with a win on our record. Turns out that team wasn't as tough as I thought they would be. We tried our best and succeeded. When I get back to my parent, I tell them “ I was definitely the MVP”! My mother agrees and says “Lets go get some ice cream”. Then my father says “ I did

When the first game came I was extremely happy yet nervous also. We ended up winning the game by the score of three runs to two although I did not get to bat at all and was put in only for two innings of defense. I was disappointed that I did not get to play much but I was happy with the win. Our second game was the next day and I hoped to get more playing time then. When that day came it turned out that we were playing an extremely skilled team. We were losing three to one in the last inning and I still hadn’t played at all the whole game. One of my friends hit a double and then another one of my teammates hit a single to knock him in to score. The score was now three to two and we had a chance to come back. My coach then decided that we needed someone faster on the bases so he called for a…

"Buzz!" We all look at each other, its time to start. The first touch of the orange leather ball is exciting, the bumps stimulating to the touch. We got the ball, and the first basket is scored, then the next and the next as the first half of the game seems to fly by. When it hits half time the score is tight and everyone, including the crowd is tense, waiting and wanting a win.…

It started just as any normal Saturday would; December 8, 2012, I woke up, went through my morning routine and went to soccer practice. I was competing for a spot on the North Carolina ODP (Olympic Development Program) soccer team. Training was being held at fields about two hours from my house. I sat in the backseat of my dad’s car with my two sisters and as we rode to the fields I began to mentally prepare myself for how I would play my best and make the team.…

It was a frigid, windy, Friday night in October. The only light was the bright and beaming illumination of the stadium lights projecting over the soccer field. The bleachers were full, it seemed as if the whole school was there, and as a freshman with anxiety, it made it hard to cope with the fact, that I was going to be a starter for the varsity soccer team.…

Whenever I was not playing on the field, I wore a heavy winter coat. It was a regular season game, so we were usually goofing off, as most t-ball players do. But this game, everyone was trying their best to conserve body heat. Let us fast forward to “The Playoffs” (or as close as you can get in t-ball). This was one of the first years I was participating in baseball, so I really didn’t know a whole lot about the playoffs or what they were. All my parents told me was that if my team lost, we were eliminated. I really liked competition, so I was as determined as a little 7 year old could get. We played the games, we pummeled the teams. That was all we did in the playoffs. And then, as soon as I knew it, “The Championship Game” had arrived. I was as ecstatic as a child who receives an iPhone for Christmas. But with all my joy, there also came fear; much fear and nervousness. My parents had…

It all started at ninth street with some friends of mine John and I started recruiting some people to come play football with us. I honestly didn’t know I had a pretty decent arm. I originally was going to start practicing to play wide receiver instead of quarterback. At the time Odell Beckham Jr. ( wide receiver for the New York Giants ) was extremely explosive and dynamic on offense. Seeing him blow up on offense made me want to try out for wide receiver. But somehow John convinced me to play quarterback.…

Starting soccer when I was only five years old was challenging because of my October birthday I had to play with all the six year olds. My parents had put me in soccer because I was a young boy filled with too much energy. After playing soccer for about a year I decided I wanted to do more, I loved the sport. I started playing club soccer when I was 7 years old, playing for under the wing of Charley Amblo. This was a training team only, it was not till I was nine that I was started playing for a travel team.
