Personal Narrative: America's Gift To My Generation

America’s gift to my generation is the freedom of choice, the freedom of speech, and independence. Many strong, brave men and women fought heroically for our freedom and rights, and they still fight to preserve the freedoms they attained. Asa Philip Randolph, a leader of the Civil Rights Movement, once said, “Freedom is never given; it is won,” and that is what our heroes did, they fought, consequently winning our freedoms.
One of our rights, as residents of the United States, is the freedom of choice. The freedom of choice allows us to make decisions for ourselves; it doesn’t let the government choose for us. We are allowed to choose the path of our lives. Who we marry, where we live, as well as who we become are all choices that we make
