Personal Narrative: A Day In The Field
It was game day the field was rough and dry the goals were painted yellow, the burning hot sun was shining off our helmets. The team practiced so hard for this game it was the game that everyone wanted to see. It was only five bucks to get in. the coaches called all the players out on the intercom for the pre game meal, we were having some watermelon and some chicken and a potato it was very good. The chicken was the best. we started warming up when coach had called us down to the field. We had went over some offense and defense. When defense had went out on the field, we had worked on some pass blocks and some blitz plays. In my opinion pass block was my favorite. Everyone's pads was tied tight, cleats were wrapped with white tape, chin straps …show more content…
The loud cheerleaders, the rumbling crowd that's all we could here. Caleb had kicked it off the other team number nine had called a fair catch so we couldn't hit him. So the ref had blew the whistle. Coach had yelled defense on the ball. We all ran out like a herd of cows. We all got in a huddle, we had looked at coach he had said pass block! The offense had got in a huddle “BREAK” the lineman had gotten down on the line and both of the wide receivers were on the line was spreaded out and the tight end was too i had gotten in front of the tight end i heard “HUT” i had took my drops and guarded the tight end and the quarterback had took two drops back that's how we knew he was going to throw it, he had looked at the tight end and threw the ball out of his hand at a spiral movement and number 52 and turned around and jumped. i was running like i had never ran before. I wanted to either intercept it or just block it, so i went for both. So when i had gotten to him the ball was a couple of inches away so i just jumped thinking nothing about it. As the ball flew towards both of our hands i had stuck both of my hands in the air. Number 52 and yelled mossed like he was going to get it but i had pulled the ball right out from the air and he had grabbed my legs so i couldn't get anywhere. It was fourth quarter with thirty-six seconds on the clock. We had the ball, coach said winning play!! So our quarter back taken two steps back and kneed it so the clock would run out. “Our team had finally defeated bremen!” coach had

They get the ball and we kick off they drop the ball and they recover it. They are down right there they ran a reverse and score a TD. We get the ball and they motion me to the left side and ran a 27 pitch we score a TD “wooohooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Then we smash them on defense. then we get the ball back Tate runs a 17 run and scores a TD “yaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”…

Everyone got in a line, and coach told us who was going to do the PKs. She called on Damien, Dominic, Evan, Bash, and me. Damien went up to the line while the other team's goalie got ready to block it. Damien kicked the ball right at the corner of the goal and the ball went in. We all cheered loudly and then waited tensely as Damien then got ready to be goalie. The other team's kicker went up to the line and kicked it right at Damien so he blocked it easily. Next, I was up to kick. I kicked it to the bottom left corner of the goal and…

As I was in the truck with three other of my teammates, I was terrified and nervous. I had butterflies in my stomach. I was overwhelmed. When I heard that we only had eight players exactly, my heart dropped. This is because the exact amount of players that could be on the field is eight I was also sweating. I literally felt like giving up and not even play. My brother, Alvaro, and Gilberto were in the truck as well. They were all nervous as well, but they didn't give up. As I gazed out the window, I saw the sign "Fitzgerald Fields."…

Traveling into the Indian Territory, we were being angrily chased down by three Indians furiously shouting at us. Dashing through the thick forest, the savage Indians were throwing spears and shooting arrows that narrowly missed us. Although neither Gideon nor I was mortally injured, I did suffer from a nick from an arrow piercing near my ear. Thankfully, a group of burly fur traders approached from the side, which frightened the Indians to run away. Acknowledging that Gideon and I were inexperienced travelers in the west, they offered us protection in exchange for some valuable possessions. As a consequence, knowing that they were our best alternative for survival, we gave them our antique gold pocket watches and assumed the identities of novice fur traders. From that point on, we followed them through the west and adopted their skills for efficiently hunting animals and keeping warm in the harsh, cold weather. During one of our rest points, we approached a large Cherokee settlement located in Park Hill in which our group leader was friends with the Cherokee leader John Ross.…

It was a fun game to watch, as we all thought about us playing on that court the next day. It was finally game day, and we had to play Stewartville, 2nd place from Minnesota. They were athletic, but we ended up winning the close match. Our next rival was the Bismark Thunder, 1st in North Dakota and last year's national champions. We were nervous since the were taller, stronger, faster, and just better than us. We lost to them, but we were fired up to play for 3rd place. The team headed over to the Target Center for the 3rd place game. Playing there was so neat, being under the lights, having them announce your name, and just being with the tam. We played Grafton, who placed 2nd at state in North Dakota. They looked like us, athletically, so we weren’t too worried. We came out with a bang, ready to play. Darby and Ellie pushed it up the court on fast breaks, giving us the early lead. Rilee and I played great defense on the post, as well as Marlee on the wing. Jenny came in and scored a couple before halftime. We were tied 17-17 at the half, and we knew we would have to work even harder. Halftime was over, and we played our hearts out the rest of the game. Mavis and Paige played great offensively, as well as Taylor on defense. We beat Grafton, 36-34, with Darby’s 1:00 left, 2-point shot. We were so happy that we had pulled off that win! We spent the next hour at the…

Today was the day. The big day. My election for Lieutenant Governor of Division 2B for Key Club, an international service club, was today. Fear and anxiety pricked my skin in rapid movements emanating from every pore. I rehearsed my speech for the fifth time that day. Upon arrival at the Fairfax Library, I urged myself to remain calm. I quickly scouted out the other girls who were present; one girl was dressed professionally with a folder in her hand. I knew that was my competition. The girl spoke eloquently and genially, she radiated enthusiasm and a certain warmth that I did not have. With every question that was asked, she answered with a smooth smile and high-pitched tone that was dripping with sincerity. I bristled inside; I had just been slapped. I was shrouded in a cloud of anxiety and anxiousness. Suddenly, I was dragged from my reverie.…

In sixth grade, I stood before a podium that stared back at my English class. This was not how I envisioned sharing my love for reading and writing; however, it was required. My palms felt sticky, and I just knew that the entire class could see my heart as it was about to hop from the walls that kept it safe. I prayed that I would not forget the lines as I recited The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost. In sixth grade, reading, writing, and I started a relationship. Today, we have yet to break up.…
