Personal Narrative: 12 Years Old Hiking The Shenandoah Mountains
I ran into a black bear once when I was 12 years old hiking the Shenandoah Mountains. The black bear was fat and stand seven feet above the ground when the bear looked at my dad and me. Also, the black bear roar deafening to the point where my mom and my sister heard the roaring sound in the parking lot which was a few miles away. Surprisingly, my dad said I was not scared at the bear, and I just stared at the bear. However, it was a scary moment even tough I didn't panic.

    I’ve always wanted to be good at something. Writing isn’t one of them. Hiking however, let’s say I’m confident that I hover somewhere above the line of Intermediate. Good enough to survive high elevation glacier treks and overnighters at least. As a hobby or extracurricular activity, it’s probably my biggest passion.
