Personal Goal
I aspire to help people get the most benefit possible from technology. My brother is an educator and his students learn English with the help of computer-based language programs. My sister is a physician assistant and uses sophisticated software to monitor health services for her patients. With my passion for technology, I can see great opportunities within these fields to contribute.
My goals are, to provide support for those within healthcare or education, continuously learn new technologies, and to build a fulfilling career. In pursuit of these goals, it is clear to me that I need more education and skills to achieve them. Possessing a degree from CSU-Global puts me on a path leading to greater opportunities not just for a higher salary but a higher purpose.

I am challenged as a learner by distractions and when a class progresses very slowly. I take medication for my attention deficit disorder and the online setting for classes at CSU-Global is an ideal setting for me to progress through the material. I study in a quiet setting devoted solely to getting work done.
My fiancé Stacy and my family are providing support to me in my academic pursuits. My brother Matthew currently attends CSU-Global. My fiancé is also heading back to school. I believe this support will enable me to succeed with this program.
While attending CSU-Global, I commit to investing a minimum of eight hours, every week, in each course. My time studying would increase based upon need. I plan to study at the local library and at my home where I can limit distractions. I want to excel in my education and not just scrape by. Spending that time throughout the week and studying in an academically focused area will set me up for

A significant factor in my life is my mother’s health issues, especially her anxiety and depression, diagnosed in 2006. Since then she has had ups and downs to which my family has adjusted to deal with, and we have had to be prepared every day in case my mother suffers an attack or a relapse. After my mother’s first attacks I had to adapt quickly since I did not only had to be there for her, but also for my younger siblings who did not fully understood the situation at that time. I learned to take control of what to do to help my mother overcome her attacks and control her depression. At the same time, my mother had her first anxiety attacks, I started my junior year of high school as an International Baccalaureate student. This was a demanding program, but I was able to quickly learn how to manage my time to be there for my mother, without forgetting about my education. I believe my mother’s situation helped me develop different characteristics such as being more organized and to fully concentrate on what is important at the time. I believe I matured very quickly in order to be the support my family needed from me at that time, and in order for me to stay focused in school. This situation helped me be more patient and less nervous, and appreciate…

With my values of compassion, healthy-living and respect, I will diagnose, treat, and care for my every patient. In addition, I do not plan on limiting the care I give within the walls of the hospital or clinic. I hope to be a part of Doctors Without Borders, an international medical humanitarian organization that helps treat people with the greatest needs.
