My name is Kimberly Rakowski and I am a 17 year old who is about to graduate high school at Mosinee High School on January 16th 2015. I am a very bright, talented, outgoing, fun, and motivated young lady. I am very determined, and refuse to allow obstacles to prevent me from succeeding in my life. I am extremely hard working and helpful and often try to please, I make a great imprint on people, both because of my social skills and my daily works. I take pride in making sure that my past struggles do not hold me back in the present, and have proven that I can overcome major difficulties in my life and continue to shine. I value the changes I have made in my life and I give a lot of recognition to the people who have loved me, helped me and continue to be there for me. I am very proud of myself for being able to achieve my goals in Mosinee Manufacturing, and have taken pride in being one of the only female students who has done extremely well in this program. I have also made some very positive friends at this school, and I am impressed with how welcoming Mosinee staff and students have been for me. Since before I moved in the group home, I have changed and grown from being very anxious and unconvinced of my abilities to being very confident and secure. I previously had set the bar somewhat low for myself, and have learned that I really can accomplish whatever I set my mind to. I am now able to trust myself, being very level headed and having the security and confidence to know that I can handle whatever life throws at me with patience, dignity and good judgment. I have improved individually from being someone who was not trustworthy, to being someone my peers can count on and look up to. I am the victim of a very dysfunctional family surrounded by parents who were involved in emotional abuse, neglect, chemical dependency, and their own illegal behavior. They continue to...
