She was having trouble with sports, so one day as the family was outside, we decided to help her. First sport she wanted to try was softball. As everyone sat outside, trying to tell her everything that she needed to know. We told her that she had to keep her eye on the ball, and put more power in her swing. At first, we let her use the tee. Then we keep on going up the line, it went from the tee, to under hand, and then pitching machine. Subsequently going through all of that, she decided to go back to the under hand. So it was getting better, but after a while, she didn’t know if she wanted to still play softball. Next, after deciding softball wasn’t for her, we played a little bit of basketball. So having such great older counterpart, we helped her with her shooting, and her shooting. She wanted to shoot with both hands, rather than one like you are supposed to. It wasn’t much improvement, but an inappreciable amount of improvement. Consequently a while, without help, our inconsiderable lady, started dribbling all by herself. So all is well, guesstimate who was abominable at this too. Yes, you presupposition it, it was her. …show more content…
But we told her that she should just follow her heart. It don’t matter if you are congenial at something or inadequate at this. She finally decided, that she would try both for a year, and if she was not any satisfactory at anything, then she would just try to do congenial in school and get awards like that for her trophy case. So after all that, she was going to try both, and said that we all helped her, and it don’t matter, if she is the unfavorable on the team, or incomparable to the other’s, as long as she was having fun. As long as she was happy, the ancestor was

I came from a family of really athletic people. My Mom and sister Kaitlyn both played softball from a young age and had many great accomplishments. My sister Kassidy played soccer from a young age as well. I have a lot to live up to. I started playing soccer when I four and I played for one year until I was no longer interested in it anymore. I started softball when I was five, and it wasn’t my favorite. I then retreated back to soccer for a few years. When I was in second grade, I cut my ankle on the bowl that my dog broke when I was trying to get cereal because I was hungry. After that I really didn’t want to play soccer anymore, so I decided to retire my soccer cleats forever. After this, I tried various different ranging from swim team to softball, and as you can imagine, softball stuck. When it did though, it came with my hot-headed personality showing. There was no way around it. I was also very independent, which could be a good thing in some cases, but as I got older I was required to do more group work. I just didn’t know how to.…

Hi , I’m Lilli Burton . I am in sixth grade, and play baseball with the boys. A barrier i have faced is trying to play baseball because I am a girl. Whenever I try - out , they say “ She would be great at softball.” I face the barrier in Summer and Fall when it is time for baseball. A lot of coaches are sceptical about putting me on their team, but I don’t let that stop me from trying and trying again.Until someone accepts me for who i am. To overcome this barrier , I used integrity by sticking up for my beliefs and not always caring about what people think of me . I also used determination by never giving up and try my best to get better and better everyday. My barriers are similar to Jackie Robinson’s because we both wanted to do something…

It is the bottom of the ninth and I was last at bat. The ball came zooming towards me at a high rate of speed. The vibration of metal meeting leather rang out in my hands. No hesitation was made. I dropped the bat and ran as fast as I could to first base. My coach was telling me to keep going because the ball was fumbled. I rounded third base and my coach motioned for me to take it home with a slide. Down I went. Dust was flying. The crowd was standing and cheering loudly as the referee motions and yells, “Safe!” All I heard was screaming as dust still loomed the air around me. I could manage to see my team going wild, jumping, and screaming. Everyone seemed to be celebrating except me.…

Growing up I played baseball to me baseball was everything i could think of. i couldn't wait to the weekend so i could put on that dirty uniform and pick up the new bat and nice leather glove and play baseball. When i was young i played in a big park in NYC where everyone saw you play so as i grew up everyone expected me to continue playing baseball and get better and work hard my mother always signed me up for baseball and i met a lot of coaches who help me gain more talent throughout the years. So as i grew up baseball started to be more and more of a priority to me i went to baseball practice two times a week one during the week and one on the weekend and with baseball practice i attended a baseball program which is twice a week meaning less and less time for homework and time to study. that being said i believe that time management and dealing with less and less sleep is the biggest problem with high school sports.…
