Personal Essay: Moving To Houston, Texas

After our presentations this past week I was provided with a lot of insight on places all over the united states that I may want to move too in the future. It is very important too travel and break out of your comfort zone in order to experience new things in life. That being said I have narrowed where I would like to move down to two different places, but there is one place I refuse to move too, because it would be too much of a culture shock for a boy who was born and raised in Middlesex County, New Jersey. The first place I would be interested in moving too would actually be the city my group did our project on which is Houston, Texas. I am not just saying this, because our group did our project on this location. After, doing the research I actually did picture myself living in Houston. I almost saw Houston as a warmer, cleaner New York
There is obviously crime everywhere and you cant let something like that effect you that much. There is also sections of places where there is crime just like NewJersey so as long as you are aware and avoid those places I don't see it being an overall issue for me moving to Houston. Its one of the fastest growing cities in the country with lots of opportunities, cheap housing and entertainment around everyone corner, so simply put, whats not to love? If I didn't have the chance to move to Houston, Texas my next choice would absolutely be Glendale, Colorado. There is a few reasons for this decisions and a lot of them aren't far off for the reasons I picked Houston (also, not a large fans of the other locations). A big draw for Glendale is the fact that it is so close to Denver. You are able to have the entertainment and the night life of the city while still getting that family style housing in Glendale. Denver is a beautiful city and Colorado is a beautiful state and it would certainly be a fantastic place too move
