Personal Accomplishment: What Sets Me Apart?
A personal accomplishment that I believe sets me apart is that I graduated high school in three years instead of four. I had to complete courses in Summer School and take extra subjects instead of fun electives , but in the end it was all worth it because I was able to start learning more about subjects that pertain to my career in college classes a year early. When my peers were taking it easy I decided to push myself and take all AP or Pre-AP courses so that I could better prepare myself for the change in difficulty in coursework that I would encounter in college. I believe this also sets me apart because I was born in El Salvador and had to learn English as a second language in school. After finally mastering the language , I proceeded to

Everybody goes through something that is tough in life. For instance, some may have trials and tribulations in school, work, or even at home. For that reason, people find many ways to overcome their problems. Some people could just talk to someone about what they are going through, and they could immediately overcome their complications. This explanation leads to the following question: What is the greatest obstacle to achieving my number one goal? My number one goal is to graduate out of college with a degree to start my career in practical nursing. When I first started college in 2011, I was thinking that college was going to be difficult. During that time, I was taking an Anatomy and Physiology class, and I had too many roads to failing…

I always loved school, and I was a fast learner. I was praised for my accomplishments at an early age and I believe that the satisfaction I gained from impressing others was motivation that impacted my future. I continued to do the best I could in school. My mother was very strict and tough on me when reviewing my work, ripping my essays if I wrote in sloppy handwriting and erasing all of my math problems if I got more than one wrong. It was emotionally difficult but I eventually toughened up, and her training made me a more diligent student. The only motivation I would have was the praise I would receive for amazing scores on my work. Eventually, I stopped being praised and it was devastating for me. I entered middle school and I continued…

Only being in the 11th grade, there are not any groundbreaking achievements I have made so far. One accomplishment that still stands out to me is when I was the only freshman to be interviewed and picked to be Bio-Med officer. This still holds a special place because it was defeinly one of my proudest moments. I am not the smartest person, or the best. I make mistakes, but I always try my hardest and put passion into everything I do. I was competing against 25 other freshman, and I was able to be the only 9th grader picked. My comeption wad tough, and some of the most intelligent people were also competing for this position. This definetlyl made me realize that being the smartest person is not everything. I had passion, and I truly cared about…

As of now, I have placed in soccer tournaments with various soccer clubs (some of them in the premier division, which is the highest division in MOSA), won elementary school chess tournaments, won the "Catena Fun Run" for my age group, and got the most noteworthy presidential grant there is when I graduated fifth grade. I self-taught myself the piano and can play many classical pieces such as "Turkish March" and "Nutcracker", am in honors math and the gifted and talented program, made "Back in Black" band for my saxophone, and got to go to all the track meets for the 200 meter run, even winning one. Last of all, I received all A+s in every subject for every marking period in 7th grade. Each and every one of these achievements is a piece of my story, or my legacy, and could be considered as great accomplishments for one of my age. Obviously, though, I still have a lot more room to accomplish more and grow, and add bits of success to my legacy. I would like to have the success of being accepted into Biotec, and later go on to become a doctor of some sort. As I proceed with my life, I would also want accomplishments in my interests, activities, and schooling to become part of my legacy as well. However, accomplishments are great, but something else is an important part of your legacy- change. As of now, I haven't really made any immense or significant changes to the school or world. I mean, with everything you accomplish you definitely alter your school and world in some small way, but when I think of a great big change, I think of something that positively impacts everyone in a specific group, such as a school or world. This is why again, I don’t think I have made any huge changes as of now, but I would like to and without a doubt plan on doing so in the future. That's part of the reason I want to become a doctor- with every person they help heal, those people can get back on their feet and…

My first goal was to obtain my general Equivalency Diploma (GED) with the intentions of later attending college. It took me longer to achieve my goals, since I have had many personal obstacles in my way. At the age of 17, I became a married teenage single mother of a one month old baby. I did not have much of a family so I had to take care of my child on my own. My family was not the type to go to for help because they would take from someone leaving them helpless. Looking in the mirror one day after being knocked down for not cooking dinner, made me look into my soul through my eyes; I decided enduring a life with so much Domestic Violence that it was not for me.…

Honesty, authenticity, genuineness, bravery, and valor are my top strengths. I was shocked by these results not only because I feel they are extremely accurate, but these are the things I value most in life, especially honesty, I feel that you can hate a man to the core, but if that man is a truly honest man you can only respect him. I want to be an epitome of a truly honest man, and I believe my character strengths will help me achieve this goal. My bottom strengths were the love of learning, self-control, and regulation. I feel these strengths are just as important as my top strengths, and I need to maximize them all in order to become a great leader. I always strived to do the best that I can, in everything that I do, and this especially applies to academics. In 6th grade, I joined the honors program at my middle school; from then on forward, I made sure than my work was of high enough quality so that the following year I would be placed in honors courses. These courses are what I believe prepared me for my success in high school. I got a taste of what it was like to be in an environment where every pupil was hungry for an education and for knowledge, and I grew to want to learn as much as my classmates. I entered high school with courses that upperclassmen had that challenged me more than anything else had before. It was during my freshman year of high school that I realized that I couldn’t…
