In 1960, Knut Jensen was a marathon runner at the summer Olympics in Rome during the 100km team time trial race. By using a drug call Roniacol, another word is Nicotinyl alcohol, Knut Jensen dies during Olympic competition. Performing enhancing drugs in sports is the public enemy from all over the world. Performing enhancing drugs in sports became a huge travesty when a lot of athletes built like monsters and find a winning edge to collect titles, Olympic medals, gold jackets, and other great accomplishments. Great athletes like Tyson Gay, Roy Jones Jr., Lance Armstrong, Shan Warne, and others athletes is the falling victims who are addicted to getting that winning edge. There are many kinds of performing enhancing drugs in sports. Enhancing drugs like Anabolic steroids, Androstenedione, Human Growth Hormone (HGH), Erythropoietin, Piaretics, Creatine, and stimulants, and many other drugs athletes use in sports. According to John Neundorf, TheSportster.com, “Top 15 Most Commonly used Performance Enhancing Drugs,” he states,” Propranolol, also called a beta blocker, is a medication designed to block the effects of epinephrine, a hormone produced by …show more content…
