The purpose of performance enhancing substances, like anabolic steroids, is to enhance the strength, and size of and an individual. It can also help by providing more endurance to an individual. For example blood doping before a cycling race is a good example of a performance enhancing substance. These substances are however banned in all forms of sport due to their unfair advantages it gives to athletes. Along with that, taking these performance-enhancing substances can cause long-term health problems. These problems may include heart attack, stroke, and uncontrollable mood swings. It is also worth mentioning that some performance enhancing substances can reduce your overall lifespan as well. These are the reasons why you should not take
