Plot:
Erin is a dog lover and when she gets a chance to be in the SPCA which is a program to help dogs and take care of them she doesn’t let anything be in her way even her best friend Rachel, if she shows to her mother and father that she is responsible enough to care of a dog she will be able to buy a dog. But one afternoon when Erin came from school she saw her parents early from work. When Erin enters the house she can’t wait to tell her parents that she made it to SPCA but she holds it for a minute because her parent’s eyes are full of tears. Her dad breaks the news he has been fired from work and unfortunately she won’t be able to go to the SPCA. Instead she will be staying at her grandma’s house. When Erin tells the story to her grandma, her grandma comes up with an idea that she should take blue to the perfect dog show. Erin might have a chance to show her parents that she is responsible but she needs a makeover fast.

On the first day of being a Senior at Benson High School, Greg’s mother forces him to become friends with Rachel Kushner. Rachel is one of his old friends because they dated around six years ago. However, his mother tells him that Rachel is suddenly diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. Thus, Greg listens to his mom and follows what she wants him to do. His main goal is to get to know her better since their break up, and help cheer her up since Greg is a humorous guy. This is a person vs person conflict, mom vs Greg.
