As I was growing up, I can say that I was an active kid who frequently enjoyed trying out new activities. Due to the fact that I moved several times throughout my childhood, getting involved into different programs was what brought me closer to my community and its people.
Finally settling down into a small town of Ephrata I exploited its organizations and activities that it offered forming friendships that would last a lifetime. When I'm not hitting the books, theres many places that I can be found if one were to know me.
To illustrate, many know my burning passion for the beautiful game of soccer, and how
I love to watch and even more, playing it. I first started playing when I turned 10 and was able to join the U10 travel team. When I first started, I encountered a lot of new kids, which I would be playing alongside for nearly the next decade! Never getting enough thrill, I played year round with the team no matter what. In the following years I was able to join the school team and played every single year. Playing for my high school team along with my pals during senior year will definitely always be my favorite memory of the things I enjoyed to do. Not only did I engage in soccer, I loved to stay active by trying out new sports. In middle school I participated in track and field and continued into freshman year but unfortunately had to stop as it was interfering with club soccer. Sophomore year I was feeling ambitious and tried out for the wrestling team hoping to beef up. Although I only wrestled for one season I can say I learned a lot from it. The sport demanded immense determination, as one was pushed to their body's limits day after day. Most people are not aware that wrestling is classified as the most difficult sport in the world. Dan Gable, a famous wrestler, would agree as he stated,"Once you've wrestled, everything else in life is easy." In addition to perseverance, wrestling taught me to be courteous as well as being a hard

Wrestling is tough, it is a sport much from its participants, but if one has the courage to step out on the mat dressed in a uniform that leaves a little imagination and challenge another human to a match to see who the better man is. Danger can be found in every sport, and wrestling are no more prone to injury’s to soccer, football, track stars, lacrosse. Wrestling creates a sense of accountable for one’s actions. Those that work hard, succeed. There is no one to hide behind; every flaw and mistake is brought forth in a match. It takes a great deal of mental toughness and sacrifice nights with friends for extra practice and consideration, favorite food to lose the extra pound, and sleep when one needs to wake up at 4am to go for a run before school begins. That competitive nature of clashing with another human being creates a sense of community within the wrestling world. Those that have never participated in the sport have a tough time understanding this. Opponents’ must shake hands before and after, showing respect for the other fighter, win or lose. It is uncommon to see administration in the form of an embrace even after one has lost a tough battle. These values are created through combative sports, and stay with a wrestle for the remainder of their…

Both in his coaching career and as an athlete, he would have half the battle won by being mentally prepared. Dan Gable said, “ A lot of my intensity in wrestling was due to my mental preparation before the match. I got myself into a different world.” I try to be mentally tough like Dan Gable and be unbreakable. I get extremely focused before my matches and do whatever it takes to get to this stage of preparation.…

United World Wrestling has been sanctioning wrestling, across multiple disciplines, since 1912. From the exciting freestyle to the grueling discipline of Greco-Roman, wrestling has matured and evolved throughout the centuries into the thrilling, exciting sport it is today. United World Wrestling sanctions the sport in 176 countries today and has worked to evolve the sport from the rugged exhibition of grappling it used to me into the display of technical wizardry it has become today.…

It all started out when I had made the 2016-2017 Cheer Squad. That day one of the best days of my freshman year. Quite the experience came out of being a cheerleader, for example, friday nights, state football, wrestling tournament, and state wrestling. I would have to say that state football was my favorite because I mean the Plainville Cardinals were going to state. They had so much success last year, I was so lucky to receive that experience or any of these.…

I have always done lots of sports, but I had never done volleyball and decided to do Oregon Volleyball Academy (OVA). With all of the good volleyball players that were there, I knew that I might not make a good team, but I didn't think it would be as hard as it was. I have learned that if you don't give up, even if you don't get where you want to be you can still get better.…

Throughout middle school, most of my time was devoted to two activities: soccer and band. I love both and took every opportunity to play. Thankfully, my coaches understood, and in the rare case of practice overlap, they were quite considerate of my split devotion. Then came high school. Soccer began early June with practice every morning. Marching band began in mid-July with two straight weeks of eight hours of practice a day then occasional evening practices. School began and soccer practice was held after school every day. If there was an away game, I played for both the junior varsity and varsity teams. Band practice was four days a week and lasted longer than soccer. Competitions were only on weekends, but the buses always left by eight…
