After learning about the history of this simple sandwich, gathering your ingredients, and following the steps I will provide you with later on in this essay, you will realize you’ve been doing an injustice to this sandwich by making it any other way. Again, set the top down on the counter top and with that free hand grab the knife. Insert the knife into the jelly jar and scoop out a small portion of jelly; because the jelly is not as thick as the peanut butter you must be very careful with this step. Carefully set down the jar of jelly, and pick up the remaining piece of bread that does not have peanut butter on it. Spread the jelly across the bread, just as you did with the peanut butter. Make sure the jelly is evenly distributed across the entire piece of bread. Once finished spreading the jelly with the knife, set down the piece of bread with the jelly facing upwards as well as setting the knife down.
