Weaknesses
Weakness and Cause of it
Appropriate corrective measure.
BATTING: One weakness’ when batting is that when I get out it tends to be by getting caught when I have played a very good shot. This is due to the fact that if I kept my shot on the ground then no one could catch my also it is to do with placement, and finding the gaps in the field.
To keep my shots along the floor I will do batting drills to condition myself to want to hit over the ball instead of under it, causing it to balloon up in the air. I will also break my batting routine down into sub routines and look for possible problems where I’m going wrong, for example a possibility is that my backswing is to high this could cause me to hit the ball late. TO deal with the concentration side I will take my time before each ball and analysis where each fielding and identify the gaps and hit the ball through them, This links in with the schema theory whereby I gather information (fielder positioning), process it, gather secondary information(bowlers bowing; Spin or fast?) to adjust the weighting and timing on the shot and then gets an outcome (out or runs)
BATTING: I’m not very strong when playing shots on my leg side, this is due to the fact that when playing a shot on my off side and can exert all my power and push my body through the line of the shot, however I do not seem to do this on my leg sides shots, This is due to foot and leg placement, I need to open up left leg more before I play the shot so I get the timing right and also so I can exert more power through the shot.
Possible activities that would improve my weakness would be To mentally rehearse leg sided shots like a dance routine so if I want to play one I

In preparation for just the right shot, a good player needs to understand the basic rotary mechanics, the first link in the chain. The initiation of the shooting motion begins in the lower body, one needs to have the ability to create a pelvic torque. It starts from the bottom and works its way up. When you add gravity, momentum, body rotation, and stabilization together, torque is your ending result. Gravity utilizes a vertical force while momentum employs a horizontal force. “A force can produce a torque and a torque can produce a force” (Bloomfield, 53). In the rotation of the body, the player is focusing more on a rotational motion. According to The Physics of Everyday Life: How Things Work, “rotational motion is…

    cricket in 21 st century

The advent of Twenty20 cricket (T20) and the wild success of the IPL in the first decade of the 21st century led to a period of great innovation in the game. The new, truncated form of the game privileged batting, partly by restricting the placement of fielders and shortening the boundaries. To counter free-scoring batsmen with heavy bats, bowlers began to perfect a great variety of different balls (deliveries). Disguise became an essential part of the bowler’s armoury. Slow spin-bowling, which forces the batsman to generate “pace” (that is, to provide the bulk of the power to propel the batted ball, whereas fast bowling contributes more force to the batsman’s swing), proved a surprisingly effective weapon. Among the new shots that became commonplace for batsmen in T20 cricket was the reverse sweep, wherein a right-handed batsman, in mid-delivery, changes hands to swing at the ball like a left-hander (or a left-hander swings like a right-hander). Batters also began employing the scoop, a shot played almost vertically over the wicketkeeper’s head. Test cricket also benefited from these new techniques and from the new era of creativity, not least from the introduction of the doosra, a delivery disguised to look like an off-spinner that actually turns away from the right-handed batsman like a leg-spinner. Developed by the Pakistan off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq and taking its name from the Urdu expression meaning “the other one,” the ball was perfected by Muttiah Muralitharan of Sri Lanka…
