CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Payroll have a bigger to the relationship of clients and employees in the company. One of the most important task in running a business comleting payroll. This can show the financial record of an employee, and so how do they work and their performance. The Payments, including the wages, bonuses and deduction, can’t get the total without any computation happened. And computing manually, makes a long way.

One good example are the Teaching and Non-teaching forces of SCC group of schools. If the payroll’s late, they start to question the financial integrity of the company. But of course, we can certainly see that, now a days, all the transaction werer happened to be easier because of new technologies. Considering that the computers are very useful and the largest invention that have been invented since then. Hence we, the researchers, made it to the level of our new generation, a computerized payroll system.

Computerized Payroll System is a computer system that can control a process or operation that let you make an input and take the outputs. This can process or operation that let you make an input and take the outputs. This can indeed help and be so much useful to make it easier to compute, update the records, make every little data is accurate from what it easier to compute, update the records, make every little data is accurate from what it was supposed to be. No hustle time, reliable, and faster transaction.

The other Company have already used this Computerized Payroll System like the Alan company and Ace business solution according to our research. The primary mission of the payroll is to ensure that all employees are paid accurately and timely with the correct with holdings and deduction and to be ensure both to be remitted in a timely manner.

SCOPE AND DELIMITATION OF THE STUDY

This study will develop a Computerized Payroll System for the Basic Teachers and Non-teaching forces of SCC group of schools. Computerized Payroll System is designed for the development of the technology of SCC and to make the work faster and easier. The Computerized Payroll System should be for the employee only not applicable for the students.

COMPUTER-A devices that computer, especially a programmable electronic machine that performs high speed mathematical or logical operations or that assemble stores, correlates, or otherwise processes information.

SYSTEM-A collection of part independent and interacting with one another forming a unified whole,for a particular goal or objectives.

OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY

GENERAL OBJECTIVE To have a reliable and accurate computerized payroll system.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE 1. To ensure that an employee are paid accurately and timely to keep employee morale high. 2. To show how can a Microsoft Visual Foxpro 6.0 works and help to perform precisely and validate the result to what have been said problem. 3. To lessen the time of computing, updating data and records, 4. To allow employee feel his net worth through compensation.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

By this proposed Computerized Payroll System, it can reduce of some manual errors and lessen checking to the record. It can prove that the system we’ll use is more relevant to employees, more completeness of the process. The system develop can accommodate changing figures and provide a paperless environment through well design database. We can also see the effectiveness of the system rather than the manual hand written process which is the old payment of the employees. This computerized payroll system process the input we will enter, how the flow of payroll goes. The recipients of this program can satisfied themselves by the total computation output.
