A Comparison of Paulo Freire and William Brickman
This paper briefly compares two of the world distinguished educators; Paulo Freire and William Brickman. The paper introduces both educators and debate on their contributions to the field of education. Moreover, this paper clarifies the ambiguity of the resistance that each faced in advancing their research to the next successful phase, the similarities and differences between them and the factors that may have impacted their imminent success as well.

    My own experience as a student has allowed me to develop multiple opinions about Freire’s concerns on conventional learning and his innovative idea of problem solving education. I believe that my reaction and opinion’s to Freire’s essay is moderate, I believe that if a student is only exposed to traditional learning then yes he or she will be crippled. However, in my experience as a student, I believe there are occasions where an environment of a teacher teaching and students listening totally appropriate. There needs to be a balance between nontraditional learning and traditional learning.     Education, the process of taking in and applying information, is an important part of life that directly impacts an individual’s judgement and reasoning of both themselves and society. A person’s educational experience has the ability to influence their life despite their intelligence level or home life situation.
