Patient Diet Essay
The patient states that her diet is healthy rich in fruits and vegetable, legumes, nuts, whole grains, poultry, beef such as grass –fed, wild caught fish and no refined sugar or processed starch. The patient particularly, prefers brown rice, chickpeas and black eyes peas, whole wheat bread with extra fiber, unsalted pistachio, raw almonds, flax seeds and organic vegetable such as tomatoes, onions, spinach, red, yellow and green peppers and occasionally include Greek yogurts and personally does not like cheeses but drinks almond milk. However, due to severe food allergies to fresh fruits the patient said she can only consumes organic, bananas, oranges, lemons, mangoes. She drinks diet soda 3 times in week and regularly consumes decaffeinated coffee and herbal teas. …show more content…
She also eats a significant amount of leafy vegetable about 4-6 servings a day and sparely eats fruit 3 time a week because of food allergies. She also states, desires carbohydrates especially whole grains such as rice and whole wheat bread at least 2-3 serving a day. The patient acknowledged that foods that she is sensitive to cause her to have symptoms. Patient reports small frequent meals per day and include two snacks per day, and due to severe food allergies she only eats homemade foods and never eats from restaurants. The patient denies drinking juices but drinks diet soda mostly ginger ale 3 times a week and other 5 cups of herbal tea daily and sweeten with artificial sweetener called splenda. She estimated that her water intake consumption per day is 32-48oz per day and occasional drinks 4-6oz of red wine 1-2 times per week. There are no nutrient drug interactions noted, but she states that has not tried any specific diets, but lost about 20 lbs since last year due to constant diarrhea and stomach

    Normally when you think of Asian cuisine you would think of sushi, other raw fish, and ramen noodles. That’s not entirely true because there are actually three different “cuisine areas” and styles in Asia, the South West, the South East, and the North East.
