My Passion for my Family

I have grown up in a big family all my life, coming from a big family it has taught me so much. I have learned how to be respectful, kind, generous, caring, helpful, and so much more. My household family consist of my mom (Julie) and my brother (Jason), I also had a dad (Steve), he lived here until i was about six years old and then he got in to a terrible car accident and passed away. Losing my dad is what made me so passionate for my family.

My family goes on for generation after generation. My mothers side of the family is the biggest. My mom has four sisters those four sisters have kids who then has kids. So as you can see the family is very extended. My passion with my family has always been strong, but when my dad passed away it became stronger. It made me realize that you should never take life for granted. You never know when something is going to happen.

Losing someone so close to me was so hard. I only knew my dad for 6 years and, yet I had so much passion for him. He was who I looked up too. He was someone I would go to when I was getting yelled at by my brother... So after he was gone I grew up without a father figure. That was very hard especially for my brother. My brother soon after the terrible tragic happen got with kidney failure. He was on the waiting list for over 18 years, soon my brother became my pride and joy. He was going to mean so much more to me and I was going to make sure to show him how passionate I was to him. After a long 18 years of being in kidney failure he soon got blessed with one.

We all mourned together for the next few days. During those few days, I noticed how everyone in our family accompanied each other, and how close we all became. I now realize that family is the most important thing, and they will always be there for…

What I`ve learned in my family is that a family that loves each other, cares for each other. Almost every family is like that, in the book “The Watson`s go to Birmingham 1963” by Christopher Paul Curtis you can tell that their family shows each other love, and when life gets hard and bad things happen like death they stick together . Even in the Winter when it`s below Zero degrees It`s shows how much they love and care for each other.…

Having a big family can sometimes be a good thing, but in my case it is not something I am proud of. Being one of the youngest out of my whole family I have been put down and told I was not good enough compared to my other cousins. I would cry in my room and think to myself will I ever be good enough in their eyes? As I got older and saw the skills I was capable of, I became determined to be as important as everyone else maybe even better. I accomplished high grades since my elementary years, I was inducted to the National Honor Society, and I am in the first percentile of my class. Although, I was told I will never be better I proved my aunts, uncles, and cousins wrong. At this point, I have accomplished more than any of my family members have.…
