Parody Of Button Balloon
For our group project, we chose to create a parody of the short-story “Button, Button”. We thought it was best to stick somewhat to the original story. We kept the button aspect of it, in which we used a stapler to add a humorous effect. We also decided to keep a form of Mr. Stewart in our story, but instead we renamed him “Mr. Predabutn”. We did remove Norma from the story, mostly because a lack of actors, but also to keep the story a lot simpler. By no means, though, did we forget about Arthur. We decided to change his name to “Kevin” to make the story slightly more original. We also added a nice background music to be able to better enjoy the movie
The story goes as follows. One day, Kevin is sitting in his home minding his own business,

This is about the film, Home Alone, a classic 1990s movie under the direction of Chris Columbus, and which starred Macaulay Culkin for the character of the 8-year old Kevin McCallister. The other members of the cast were: John Heard, playing the character of Peter McCallister, the father; Catherine O’Hara for the character of Mrs. McCallister; Daniel Stern for the character of the burglar named Marv; and Joe Pesci playing the character of the other burglar named Harry. The other characters were: Kevin’s brother, Buzz; Uncle Frank; and an old man named Marley. From the title alone, you can guess that the story revolves around someone who was home by himself or herself. The title does not suggest anything more than that and one needs to watch the movie to know what happens. Kevin belongs to a big family. The family decided to go to Paris for Christmas. On the night before they were to leave, there was a big storm and it caused power outage. The family overslept and woke up late because the alarm failed to go off. Waking up late, they were in a mad rush to the airport and didn’t notice that one boy was left behind. The boy was, of course, Kevin. That marked the start of an exciting family adventure.…

Kevin is the oldest of three children in the Buckman household and turns nine years of age midway through the film. One of the beginning scenes consists of Kevin’s mother asking his father to attend a meeting with Kevin’s principal because “his teacher said he was making that face again.” The mother, Karen, continues to explain that it is not just the face, but the “crying, the nervousness…the fact that he cannot finish his work.” Karen then discloses the fact that the teacher had recently asked whether or not Kevin had ever received a psychiatric evaluation. During the meeting with the principal and the child psychologist (that has been observing Kevin over the past couple of months,) the principal suggests transferring Kevin to a special education school so that he can join a class for children with “emotional problems.” From the very onset of the film, it is apparent that the anxiety Kevin experiences impacts his day-to-day life and the ways in which others perceive him.…

The Book Twenty-One Balloon is really boring in the beginning due to the fact that they dragged the story and made the introduction painfully long. His unplanned journey to Krakatoa was truly spectacular since he was forced to deal with sharks. I was impressed with all the inventions and they all seem so realistic that I wondered if those inventions exist in real life. Some of these inventions include a balloon merry-go-round, electrified chairs that can be driven all over the house and a unique parachute design that carries four people. I really enjoyed reading this book and it brought back fond childhood memories of my adventures. Even Though I am really fond of this book, it didn’t provide enough background information about Mr. F. The can…
