Seattle Branch MEMORANDUM TO: FROM: DATE: SUBJECT: Harold Delos, General Manager Azmeraw Tikuneh, Loss Prevention Supervisor May 25, 2013 Parking Lot theft and Security Cameras at Impark.

Employee theft is one of the major problems in parking industry. In 2012, more than 10 employees have been fired in relation to theft at Imperial parking, Seattle branch. Parking lots are potential feeding ground for thieves. The most common form of employee theft at parking lots is stealing cash from the cash register. For instance, in 2012, three parking attendants have been charged with stealing at least $400,000 in parking fees collected at a parking lot for the Smithsonian Institutions, in Virginia. Other forms of theft include time card fraud, office supply theft, and other company property theft. Unsafe parking lots are not only potential feeding ground for thieves, but they can also be attractive for criminals and dangerous places for employees and customers. At Impark's parking garages, we had two robbery incidents and more than 15 customer cars had been broken in one year. Except one robbery, all incidents had not been recorded with surveillance camera. Theft and crimes at our parking lots can be greatly reduced with proper security measures. My research paper with the title of "Parking lot theft and Security Cameras at Impark" will address major problems at parking lot and benefits of having surveillance camera in our parking garages. For any question, I can be reached through my phone number 206450-9529 or via email atikuneh@impark.com. Thank you for your time
