There are three types of parenting styles. The three styles are: Authoritarian, Authoritative, and Permissive. Authoritarian parenting style means strict on discipline, Authoritative parenting style means fair on discipline, and Permissive parenting style means not strict on discipline. As a parent, my actions, attitudes and views come together to affect my children’s mental, social and emotional development. The way in which I parent can be categorized and will most likely yield certain results within my children. Researchers have discovered links between parenting styles and effects.
