Other paraphilias have a co-occurrence with transvestic fetishism (Lawrence, 2009). There is also co-occurrence of non-paraphilic hypersexuality (Langstrom, 2005). Lawrence reminds clinicians that non-homosexual male transgenderism can be understood to be an outgrowth of autogynephilia, however, the increased prevalence of the other paraphilic sexual interests in these men is predictable (2009). Predicting the possible presence of co-occurring paraphilias will give clinicians and psychiatrists information to develop a more effective treatment plan.…

From Matthew Weait’s analogy, the reasoning behind illegalizing sadomasochism in the Spanner case are explained. The sadomasochistic activities engaged in by the sadistic bodies that resulted in deriving pleasure from pain, in the eyes of criminal law was seen as a mockery to its punitive nature. Such transgression which seemed to undermine criminal law’s authority to dish out punishment saw to the law demonizing the sadomasochistic acts regardless of consensual sexuality and in turn banishing the sadistic bodies that seemed to enjoy other than be repellent to pain.…

There are two types of preferences for nonhuman objects: fetishism and transvestism. A fetish exists when a nonliving object sexually arouses a person. It is relatively harmless if the action is taken playfully and is acceptable to the person's partner. Focus on certain parts of the body (feet, hair, ears, etc) or certain objects (woman's panties) aside from those part of the pleasurable foreplay, can become fetishistic in its grip on the individual. A more extreme form of fetishism is when a nonliving object completely substitutes for a human partner and orgasm is achieved when the person is alone, fondling the object.…

The research conducted clearly shows that women are being sexually objectified by the media in many ways. Societies views on sexual objectification has changed over the years and has become more of an issue in today’s society. Sexual objectification and self-objectification have proven to be a cause for mental illness in women and girls because of the unrealistic standards that advertising show. After analysing all of the research shown, my opinion is that women have been sexually objectified by the media and the impacts on women can be harmful; this problem needs to be corrected by the advertisers to ensure women and young girls can feel comfortable and confident in their own bodies. Despite the conducting extensive research, more primary…
