Langston Hughes – Salvation The point of Langston in this parable is that he didn’t see Jesus when other people in the church did. Langston was hearing a lot of things about Jesus throughout the church and he wanted to meet this person that he heard so much about. So when he had got the opportunity to possibly meet Jesus he definitely took it. When the process to meet Jesus Langston did not meet or see Jesus like other people who went through this same process did, so he lied.
Joyas Voladoras The meaning the flying jewel is a description of a hummingbird. The meaning categorized the hummingbird as a flying jewel because they have various bright colors just like jewels. You don’t see Hummingbirds a lot just like you don’t see real jewels. Hummingbirds have beautiful features just like a jewel. The reason they are called Joyas Voladoras today is possibly because they have many characteristics as a jewel.
