Parable Of The Unmerciful Servant Analysis
In my artwork I have aimed to capture the major themes in the parable of the unmerciful servant, in accordance with two significant beatitudes that play an important role in the teaching.

The unmerciful servant (MT 18:21-35) is a parable taught by Jesus to explain the importance of forgiving and being merciful. In the passage Jesus compares the kingdom of heaven to a King, who wishes to retrieve the debts he is owed. He forgives a slave who owes him more money than his life is worth, but the slave does not show mercy to a fellow slave. The king finds out and punishes the first slave for his actions of selfishness and greed.

In the parable, there are three events that represent the three major themes. Forgiveness, sanctification (mercy)

A parable is a simple story that illustrates a moral or religious lesson. A parable is thrown alongside the truth in order to help the reader understand the deeper truth behind the story. The parable in this story is that you can’t hide your darkest sins or any sin at all from God. By wearing the veil upon his face, the Minister is carrying the people’s sin just like jesus died for our sins in order to save all our souls. The sin of humanity is the greatest of fall sins but people choose to hide it from society because they are ashamed of what they have…

The third Servant Song found in Isaiah draws a comparrison between the sin of Israel with the obidient service of the Servant. Within this writing we also see that the Faithful Servant will be persecuted but has the confidence of his victory. “The Lord God has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with a word him who is weary. Morning by morning he awakens; he awakens my ear bto hear as those who are taught. The Lord God has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious; I turned not backward. I gave my back to those who strike, and my cheeks to those who pull out the beard; I hid not my face from disgrace and spitting. But the Lord God helps me; therefore I have not been disgraced; therefore I have set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame.”…

I am writing my paper over El-Greco’s Oil painting Healing Blind Bartimaeus, a beautiful painting based upon Mark 10:46-47. The biblical passage for this painting shows how close you can be to God without ever meeting him. The artist has displayed the passage in this painting in so many little details. The painting is so exquisite; it shows Jesus’ gracefulness in such an intricate way.…

Now there are few passages of Scripture which have suffered more at the hands of commentators than the third and fourth parables of Matthew 13. They have been turned completely upside down; that is to say, they have been made to mean the very opposite of what the Lord Jesus taught. The main cause of this erroneous interpretation may be traced back to a wrong understanding of the expression "kingdom of heaven." Those who have failed in their definition of this term are, necessarily, all at sea, when they come to the details of these parables.…

Bethany and Paige were good friends; they weren't best friends, but they were close enough to call each other friends. In certain classes, when neither of them had any closer friends, they would talk to each other and help each other out with homework and what not. English class, was indeed, one of those classes. The teacher had just gotten done discussing the current book they were reading, Mythology, and she had just assigned four vocabulary pages that were due the next class period. The teacher said that the class could work on the pages since they had about fifteen more minutes left of class. She also included that they could work in partners. Bethany and Paige decided to work together.…

The Parable of the Sadhu is a good example of how ones individual ethics is not always aligned with good corporate values. Corporate ethics are principles and standards accepted by an organization to guide decision making. It involves the consideration of the interest of the stakeholders and uses core values to make decisions. Individual ethics is more of one’s inner voice of how people should to act, based on standards of behavior. Ethical people strive to make right decisions in all situations and do not rationalize their actions based on their own self-interest. In business environment it is necessary to have a set of commonly agreed upon values to guide employees in making their ethical decisions. When corporate ethics in ineffective, people unconsciously act as individuals and stick to their own set of value. The breakdown happens when the individual allows his personal value to take control over the corporate values.…
