1. God did not keep the Sabbath day:
The SDA claimed that God kept the Sabbath by referring it to Gen. 2:12 but if the SDA will define sabbath as "complete rest" from a six days of REPEATED work and by not working any then Jesus contradicted this type of rest coz He said that God is ALWAYS working and is NOT stopping working [Jn. 5:17; Rom. 8:28]. So what does it imply when the scripture said that God "rested"? It means He stopped "creating things" coz they were all already done and therefore no need for Him to literally rest and REPEAT the same routenary work on the following days . This type of "rest" that God did is far different from what the SDA is doing coz the SDA is not really resting "from a finished business that will no longer be repeated again and again". When God "finished creating", He did not rest literally and do the same thing of creating again AFTER resting as what routenary life do coz Jesus said that God is ALWAYS working and HE does not stop working, therefore, the rest that God did is different from the rest pertaining to the sabbath law in Exo. 20:9-11.
2. Adam and Eve did not keep the Sabbath:
The SDA claimed that Adam and Eve kept the Sabbath by referring to Gen. 2:1-2 but if we will take the Genesis 1-2 literally we will find out that man was created in the 6th day and the following day is the 7th day. If Adam was literally created on the 6th day then he could not have eaten the forbidden fruit on the following day [7th day] coz he needs to rest and stay from where he was position. But scientifically, the creation story that took place seven six days is not literally seven days but a thousand or even a million years coz according to the carbon dating made by scientist they found out that the earth is about 4.5 billion years old and the oldest fossil of man seen was 4 billion years of old while literal interpretation of the Genesis 1 states that the age of the earth is only 6,000 years old. Using scientific findings, one day...
