Panera
My friends and family describe me as an upbeat, happy, and helpful person. I am only 17 years old; however, I have learned a lot with the help of my parents. I grew up in a very happy, family oriented environment. My mother taught me from a very young age that doing things for others is a very self rewarding experience. Due to this, I had a mindset early on of caring and helping others. When I was younger, and still today, doing community service has always been a family event. This service has taken the form of baking meals for families from our church, babysitting for people with a family member who is deployed, or setting up for salsa socials to bring everyone in the community together; my family has always helped others. All these events have made me who I am today. All the experiences in my life have lead me to be detail oriented, punctual, and a very hard worker. The environment of Panera bread is amazing and the customers that it attracts are happy and nice. This environment is this way because of the way employees interact with the customers. When I go into work I am happy to be there and ready to help anyone who comes in. I believe one of the biggest ways to make someone’s day is greeting them with a smile when they first walk in, I think a smile can help make someone’s day better. First impressions are very important. Showing people you care about them, is what I feel makes atmosphere of Panera so wonderful. Working at Panera has been a very positive experience for me, helping people is what I love to do. I have worked at Panera for almost a year now, I could not have asked for a better first job. I remember on my first day everyone I met was so courteous and inviting; I felt like I was a part of the team from the beginning and every day since. I am very excited to be able to do that for someone else on their first day. Overall, I enjoy working at Panera and I want to share the experiences I have had with others. The individuals who trained me in

I’m a shy girl who’s up for a little challenge or anything new to give a shot. My friends don’t believe I’m a helpful person and they’re right but I honestly do. I always help an individual if they had drop items on the ground, I can’t just be a person that passes by and stares. One of my favorite clubs i’ve joined for the past three years in high school is Habitat for Humanity. It involves being outside which I enjoy whereas we build houses from scratch and also help families who needs a roof over their heads. It takes awhile to complete and I absolutely despite waiting, but worth it towards the end whenever it comes together.…

As long as I can remember service to others was always encouraged by my family and teachers. For example, I helped teachers with the intent of lightening their load of work so they can be able to go home earlier. Things like this make me proud because I am able to help others, and to bring a smile to their faces. My excuse to avoid community service was that I always thought that school was all about homework and getting good grades to be on the top 20 of your class. Truth is I have always overlooked this people thinking they were being lazy for not working, but through this community service I learned that each and everyone around the world is fighting their own battles and we all deal with them the best way we can. I am proud of myself because I went to that community service and learned about this people who I had always stereotyped by their actions, community service has encouraged me to actively listen and learn from others, to walk alongside my neighborhood and to build new…

First off, I love to work together with others and collaborate in order to succeed in something. Whether it is a group project or discussing as a group about a certain topic, I love talking with others to work things out together versus one person doing all of the work and figuring it out by themselves. I also love to hear others opinions and ideas to see how others think compared to myself. Second, I love to help and support others. As a cheer team, we all volunteered as a group to go sing Christmas carols and make cards for all of the loved ones at the nursing home. As an individual, doing community service makes me feel like a good citizen and to know that I accomplished this goal makes me feel even…

Whether it was holding the door open for the person behind me or simply telling them to have a nice day, my favorite thing to do has always been to make people smile. In elementary school, more often than not, I assumed the role of class helper. This entailed staying after class parties to help clean up messes or spending extra time at recess to make sure all of the kickballs were in their specific spots. As I've grown up, it only makes sense that my love for helping people in any shape or form has translated into a love for volunteering. Whether it is tutoring elementary school children or helping run a clothing drive, the numerous altruistic tendencies that have been instilled in me through volunteer work will forever shape who I am as a…

The first day of my job was November 11th, 2012 and I was dreading it. I had heard stories of how terrible working in fast food is and I had no idea what to think. As I arrived on I had mixed feelings of fear and excitement. Dressed in khaki shorts and a Dairy Queen polo I walked in to my first job. I was greeted with smiles and friendly remarks such as good morning. The manager explained where I would be working and told me to wash my hands. As I walked to the grill area, where I would be working at, I saw a very clean and well-kept station. My co-workers were all nice and very helpful. As the shift came to a close I realized that maybe this wouldn’t be as bad as everyone had said.…
