There is an overuse of the hospital MRI machine at the facility. The MRI machine needs to be utilized for multiple specialties including emergencies, inpatients, gamma knife, orthopedics, sports medicine. The ultimate recommendation is to add an extremity MRI scanner to the facility to relieve some of the usage of the main MRI machine. Providing this relief benefits in many aspects. The addition will provide an opportunity to expand the sports medicine and orthopedics department. A premier department that is recognized as elite, but this is just one aspect of improvement. Other improvements include the inpatient length of stay. The inpatient length of stay is above benchmarks due in part to the waiting times of the main MRI machine. This increase in length of stay also affects patient satisfaction scores. Physicians have also expressed frustrations due to the waiting times of scans to be done for diagnostic purposes and have opted their office patients to utilize the MRI scans in other departments. Retention of physicians who bring in patients is an important factor to consider in the proposed expenditure. Retention of physicians’ means retention of admissions of whom are sent bu their respective physicians. There is also the potential for liability issues related to the wait times and potential delayed acute diagnosis of medical conditions due to the wait times. This is an opportunity to relieve some of those concerns with an addition of an asset that can benefit the organization. The addition is also aligned with the organizational goals of providing high quality patient care while being the most efficient care provider to its community.…

The insight our research will provide for Coca Cola can be used to identify declining sales and opportunities to stay relevant in the beverage market. Although a qualitative approach would be beneficial and at a very low cost it would not be conclusive in order to make a long term strategic plan for the company. The data could be used for determining what types of beverages do college students prefer during morning verses evening classes. While this information would be quite useful it would not be enough data to determine a new global strategy. Since Cola is a worldwide company the use of quantitative research…

Competitive cheerleading has been a big part of my life for ten years now. I have grown to love and become fully committed to the sport, practicing five days a week in the gym. Since cheerleading is a big part of my life, I wanted my Personal Project to be focused around cheerleading as well as giving back to the community. I decided to host a cheering competition and give the proceeds to a charity. The charity that was chosen was the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation. This charity was chosen for a specific reason. The ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation was a local foundation, located in Richmond. There was a young cheerleader who cheered at the same gym as me, diagnosed with cancer. Her strength, courage, and positive attitude while she was living inspired me to do this project. She had such a great impact on so many people, which motivated me to attempt to have an impact on others’ lives who were dealing with the same thing as she did.…

After our accounting books are closed in Lagasse’s system, the monthly information is uploaded in SAP. This creates an enormous amount of work for those who have to upload and then tie out the two systems. Also, since Lagasse is uploaded into SAP as a batch upload, there is no transaction level data in SAP, just account balances. In order to do any type of line item or transaction level analysis, Lagasse has to use either Trend data-dumps through FTP or Hyperion queries (which only includes purchases and order transactions, no AP, AR, or GL information) and then tie back to SAP. This usually takes about 2 days between 5 or 6 people. On a more personal…

In order for our project to become a viable solution for the problem in hand, there are some requirements that must be met. To minimize costs, our solution has to last at least as long as a traffic light and use as little power from the grid as possible (ideally that would mean up to about 14 hours without sun-light reaching the panels). It also…
