Essay #1 (Pablo Escobar) Pablo Escobar was known as one of the richest men in the 20th century because of his involvement in the selling of drugs from Colombia to North America and Europe. In Medellin, he was known amongst the poor people as “Robin Rood”. Even though Pablo Escobar obtained his fortune through an illegal way, he never left the poor behind and this is why he was so loved. I believe that what he did by helping the poor was good during the first time of his life. Years after, Pablo’s real business came out to the light and from there on, he was persecuted by the law. On the other I hand, I believe Pablo Escobar harmed Colombian society in a huge way. People were afraid to go to the streets after 5pm
