The first trait I believe would be a strength area in PPS is accepting challenges from the dominance dimension. I do well with accepting challenges because it shows my leadership and my Airman that I’m willing to do whatever it takes to assist them no matter the challenge or problem at hand. This area is strong because it helps with growth opportunities not only for myself, but for the Airmen I challenge to assist with undertaking new challenges. Furthermore, this is important because we all gain experience by accepting new challenges and can become better leaders from these experiences.

After taking the Electronic Cognitive Preference Estimator (e-CPE) assessment, I can identify a couple reasons I am strong at improving existing systems. My attention to detail helps me identify flaws in current processes. In addition, I am always looking for ways to continuously improve operating systems to prevent wasting my peoples time and Air Force resources. The Electronic Self-Assessment of Leadership Behavior (e-SALB) results show that I scored very high on this component. I show that I am strong at contingent rewards by understanding when to utilize them with in the squadron. In my current position as the squadron superintendent, I’ve developed a contingent reward system that gives individuals time off for sustained superior performance. In the event someone does not meet the mark, they do not receive the reward of time off. This is important because it reinforces the need to perform at a higher level rather than status
