Freedom of Information Act 2000 This act creates a public ‘right of access’ to information held by public authorities. Tesco hold certain information that can be accessed by the public. At a fee of £10 they can see what history and incidents have happened in store. They must provide this information when requested but also keep the information up to date and regulated so that it is accurate.
Computer Misuse Act 1990 The computer misuse act states that hacking via computers is illegal as well as sharing the information gained. Tesco will have a secure database and will try preventing hacking from happening by having firewalls in place. Hacking may take place from within store so the employers will have to trust its employees
