Supplements that contain this ingredient sometimes list rose geranium, geranium oil, or geranium stems on the label. However, laboratory analysis shows that this drug probably does not come from this natural source. It is thought that these manufacturers have artificially added this drug to the supplement rather than obtaining it from a natural source. Dimethylamylamine is considered a drug in Canada is not permitted in dietary supplements or natural health products.
The OxyELITE Pro label does state Geranium as an ingredient. Many athletes take this to improve athletic performance and must be aware that dimethylamylamine was added to the World Anti-Doping Agency’s prohibited substance list for 2010. It has also been reported to have life-threatening side effects. Cirsium Oligophyllum is another key ingredient put into this supplement. Whole plant extract is used when implementing this into the product. Oxyelitepro.com states that cirsium oligophyllum attacks the subcutaneous fat on the body, different from other products that target visceral fat protecting internal organs. One bottle includes 90 servings. Instructions for taking OxyELITE Pro are: As a dietary supplement, take 1-2 capsules on an empty stomach before breakfast. Take an additional 1 capsule six to eight hours later on an empty stomach, if needed. Due to extreme potency, begin by taking 1 capsule before breakfast and 1 capsule six to eight hours later to assess tolerance. DO NOT USE PRODUCT FOR LONGER THAN 8 WEEKS FOLLOWED BY A SUBSEQUENT 4 WEEK BREAK. DO NOT EXCEED 3 CAPSULES IN ANY 24 HOUR
