Executive Summary
The importance of data mining and its CRM concentration in our day to day life cannot be over emphasized, as it has changed the way many organizations and industries operate and has become increasingly available to a wider marker. This report focuses on Data Mining and its application to CRM in the Courier and Delivery Services Industry.
The passive diffusion of information technology has revolutionized the way of doing business. The Courier and Delivery Services Industry now have in their possession huge amount of data. This report answers how players in this industry use this data to make positive managerial decision in the management of lifelong customer relationship. Firstly, we had given brief history of courier industry and a look at the major evolution of technology in the courier industry.
In the challenges sides of courier industry, in this part we have highlighted some of the major challenges such as cross border, speed, in-time, security, tracking of parcel etc. of the courier and delivery service industry that are being offered by them to their customers and what challenges they are facing to deliver or maintain these feature in their service. What challenges they are facing to provide additional value added service to their customers.
