This activity was held on June 24, 2013 (Monday) at the Student’s Activity Center (SAC) with the aim “Above and Beyond: Living up the Spirit of Pharmacy through Science and Virtue. This orientation was headed by Dr. Maria Donabelle Dean. In that orientation we are also visited by our Dean, Dr. Olivia Limuaco of School of Pharmacy. She discussed all about the Life at CEU and its history. I am also inspired by speech of 2010 Magna Cum Laude from School of Pharmacy, _______________, who also works as Pharmacist at the Makati Medical Center. At fours (4) hours of sitting and listening with the speakers, I’ve learned a lot. Centro Escolar University (CEU) provide the quality education and academic life that student’s deserve. They offer numerous opportunities to enhance student’s talents and interests through participation in various extra- curricular and co- curricular activities. Choosing CEU is a right choice. At CEU, we will be provided a rich and stimulating academic environment that will equip students with knowledge and skills to become proactive and productive professionals. As they’ve said we will be nurtured with sound moral and spiritual values, appreciation for arts and culture and commitment to community service to hone students to be personally well- rounded, socially responsible and caring leaders of this country. In our journey towards excellence, we will be guided by the University’s twin philosophy of Science and Virtue. The University opens wide the doors of opportunity and growth to promising students like us. Take advantage of the resources that the school provides so we can shape our life and future with everybody. Share every knowledge we can

My favorite thing I've heard about UChicago is it's the place "where fun goes to die." Not because I'm averse to amusing activity, but because I know this means that UChicago is a place of rigorous study. With the Common Core, excellent critical thinking skills are developed and students are enlightened to powerful ideas that mold our society. I have heard from current and past students, that it is not uncommon to walk by a lunch table and hear students fervently debating Durkheim and Marx. It is clear that UChicago is a place of constant intellectual stimulation filled with students with a deep passion for learning; as someone who continually seeks to broaden her mind, UChicago has the ideal learning environment for me.…

On my interview day, your hospitality, your determination to your students and your philosophy in educating outstanding clinicians of the future has impressed me greatly. When I came to Jefferson University Campus, I already was aware of the top of the notch medical education offered at Sidney Kimmel Medical College but, I was impressed by the great nurturing environment that you have created for your students. On the interview day, every student that I have met loved their school and spoke very highly of the education that they were receiving. Furthermore, in the meeting before my student interview, when the admissions talked about raising empathetic physicians of the future I agreed wholeheartedly. Although, I love doing research and want it to be part of what I will be doing in my career as a physician, I would also like to be a caring, knowledgeable, and resourceful clinician as well. For that reason, I believe that the education that I can receive from Sidney Kimmel Medical College will help me prepare to become the physician that…

Entering Bicol University College of Education is not an easy decision, why? Because BUCE has a high standard of education and it is known as the “Center of Excellence”. And being a part of it was a hard challenge for me. Let’s focus in the phrase “Center of Excellence”. Three little words but it has too much meaning. Natalia et al, 2006 once said that “Teaching profession has a unique standing among the professional fields. Education student do not begin to study their field with a blank mind but from a prior impression about what teaching means. Unlike other fields where student have not come into contact with those practicing, education students has personal experiences with different teachers. Before deciding to become a teacher, the students usually have opportunity to learn about teaching as profession. They know much of what a teacher does and have witnessed several teachers doing teaching practically.” So, what was this mean BUCE being the “Center of Excellence”? I do believe that BUCE being the Center of Excellence must facilitate the collection of standards and practices throughout an organization. They must produce globally competitive graduates. I have a professor who says that we must compete for our future and to be globally competitive students. But in my own perception we don’t need to compete for our future, and if we keep on competing with others there will be no peace at all. The problem is not the University but the students. Bicol University is known to provide good quality of graduates. This University does not only aim to…
