Orthodontics: A Career As A Dentist
The history of orthodontics has been intimately linked with the history of dentistry for more than 2000 years. According to the American Association of Orthodontists, archaeologists have discovered mummified ancients with metal bands wrapped around individual teeth. I want to be an orthodontist because I have always had an interest in dentistry, and then orthodontics grabbed my interest even more. I want to help people have straighter teeth and feel better about themselves.

Orthodontist fix teeth to where they are straight by applying braces, retainers, dental plates and other things like. Orthodontist is a specialty in dentistry, they must get and have a college degree, complete dental school, and become licensed before they can practice, they have to have the dentistry license. Orthodontist improve the function of patients jaws and teeth, by examining patient's dental records and e-rays to determine alignment and occlusion issues as an orthodontist. People that get braces desire better dental appearance and to have better overall self esteem, self confidence.

There are many different topics to orthodontics. There is the salary, employment outlook, the training and schooling, and the typical work day. The salary is $187,200 or more, the employment outlook is it will increase 18.3% between 2014 and 2024, training and schooling there is lots of degrees and training you need to get before you can start practicing orthodontics, and a typical work day is in the office working with the patience. This is why I want to be an orthodontist; I have always had an interest in dentistry, and then orthodontics grabbed my interest even more.
