Organic Compounds
Compare & Contrast of Organic Compounds Scientists look for water and organic compound on other planets in order to look for life. Organic compound is a compound found mainly in living things. There are four main kinds of organic compound which is carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids. They have different role and function for the organism.
The most common type of organic compound is carbohydrates like sugar or starches. The main element of it is C, H, and O. Its component is monosaccharides, They are used to store energy for both planet and animal by starch or glycogen respectively.
Another type of organic compound is lipid. It has the same function of carbohydrates which is store energy. However, it has other functions like carries messages and forms cell membrane. Actually, it also consists with a small unit called fatty acids.
Protein is a paramount organic compound as well. It is constitute by amino acids. The major functions of it is help cell keep shape, make up muscle, speed up chemical reactions, and a function that is the quite similar with lipids which is carry messages or material.
The last kind of organic compound I want to introduce is nucleic acids. A familiar example of it is DNA and RNA. Right, it is a significant material to passes instructions from parents to offspring. Nucleic acids are building up with nucleotides which have three smaller molecules called sugar, phosphate group, and nitrogen base. On the other hand, nucleic acids help make proteins and contain instructions for proteins.
These are four kinds of organic compound I want to recommend. It is the foremost organic compounds we have to know and remember.

This question forces you to evaluate each response individually. A through C are definitely not organic molecules (by definition), but since both oxygen and water are required for life, they may both be somewhat tempting answers. Answer D does contain carbon but may be unfamiliar to you and there is also the possibility of selecting option E (None of the above). If you are secure in your understanding of what an organic molecule is (and is not) this question appears simple; however, if you are not clear as to what characterizes an organic molecule then this becomes a confusing and frustrating question with more than one seemingly correct answer. If that is the case, you need to apply the strategies just suggested for coming up with your selection for the best…

Fats are stored in the body in fat deposits, which serve as stored energy for the organism. Fat deposits under the skin can also provide insulation for an animal, while fat surrounding vital organs provides protection and cushion for the organs. Although fats, carbohydrates, and proteins all serve as energy sources, digesting fat macromolecules releases much more energy than an equal amount of the others. One gram of fat can provide about 38 kilojoules of energy, compared to around 17 kilojoules of energy from one gram of carbohydrate or protein.Steroids are another category of lipids. The macromolecules in this category all share a similar structure of four linked rings of carbon atoms.…

The definition of organic which means, of or pertaining to an organ; or the organs of an animal, plant, or fungus. It can also pertain to a class of chemical compounds that formerly comprised only those existing in or derived from plants or animals, but that now include all other compounds of carbon. This is the first thing that we need to understand. The fact that organic compounds contain carbon and are also combined with nitrogen, bromine, hydrogen. Sulfur, and chlorine and that the majority of the compounds found and tested in crime scene labs are going to be organic.…
