Opportunity Cost: Video Analysis
In the video, we learn that opportunity cost is choosing one thing over others. By making a choice, you are giving up one thing in order to do the other, which is the cost, Ben Franklin use the saying "time is money", to explain opportunity cost. If we give up a half a day of work we lose the opportunity to make the money for that time.

One of my favorite activities is being outdoors, such as, hunting, fishing, or just riding in the boat. I often give up getting ahead on household chores, participating in certain peer events, and other opportunities; these are the opportunity cost. I place a high value on being outdoors, because it gives me a since of freedom.

The opportunity cost of taking this class, is that I miss out on doing other things

My favorite activity is going to the beach looking for sea glass. I find it to be very relaxing, and always exciting to see the “gems” I find. I also enjoy spending quality time with family and friends. As I've grown older, I've realized that the family I have is getting older. So any time I spend with them making memories is meaningful to me. I also enjoy going to the gym to keep fit. I try to include sports and activities besides my full-time job, attending college, and homework in my daily life because I believe it is important to be a well-rounded…

With factors like having everything one used to do outside possible to be done indoors, the newest and greatest technology, and the shrinking number of places to go, why would someone want to go outside. The rights promised to humans are gone, there is no where to be free to just breathe, there are parking lots, companies, and skyscrapers instead. One must remember the benefits of going out in nature and use that as motivation to find those few, rare places. Once there, just breathe, relax, and enjoy. Nature is wonderful and is a gift that should be enjoyed forever. There are no rules to nature, so just go outside and be…

Some of my favorite ways to be active outside are snowboarding, surfing, climbing, hiking, running, and camping just to name a few. One of my students once told me that, “there is no growth in the comfort zone, and no comfort in the growth zone.” This really resonated with me and I think about it when I'm experiencing new and unfamiliar situations.…

The recreational and leisure activities that I enjoy mostly involve being outside. My friends and family can always count on me to be up for exploring and usually regret asking me because I could hike for hours! I love being outdoors and enjoy a wide variety of individual and team sports throughout the seasons. Kayaking, running, paddle boarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and sand volleyball are just the beginning of my long list of activities I enjoy to participate in. Aside from the outdoors, I am an adventurous cook and make recipes of all styles.…

The younger me loved to be active and constantly moving around but as i grew up I started to enjoy times that were quiet as well. The few activites i liked to do and still do now is play soccer, go bowling, read, and going for bike rides. As a little kid and teenager, my cousins and I use to do a bowling day which was very intense since we are all competitive. I never and still don`t ever win because I suck at bowling but it's always a fun day seeing some of my cousins for some friendly composition and to see who will hold bragging rights. Also, when i was a kid my mom and I use to go for bike rides on the trail into erin to get ice cream from baileys ice cream shop. I it was always worse biking back rather than there because I always thought about the ice cream but on the way back there was no ice cream to look forward to.…

At the beginning of the term, I quite honestly thought that this class would be both a waste of my time and my money. It just seemed that it would be one of those classes where the professor would just assign us pointless activities in an attempt to keep students within college. However, as I progressed through this course, I found skills that will not only help me throughout college, but in life as well.…
