Opera and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Wolfgang was born on January 27, 1756, in Salzburg, Austria. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart learned the piano at the age of 3 . By the age of five, Mozart started composing his own music. Mozart was a musician capable of playing many instruments who started playing in public at the age of 6. Over the years, Mozart, composed hundreds of works that included sonatas, symphonies, masses, concertos and operas. When he was a young man, Mozart travelled through Europe. Mozarts first operas that he composed was to be performed in Germany, and he found employment from 1774 to 1777 at the court of the Prince Archbishop in Salzburg. During this time , Mozart completed his complete violin concertos, with various symphonies and masses, and six piano sonatas.

Mozarts Style
Mozarts style was of th Classical period. His style was unique. His style was light and rhythmic. People did not appreciate his radical music because they did not understand Mozart's complex and extraordinary music . His works were full of life and very cheerful. He was a person with a sense of humor and joke around a lot. Mozart didn’t only have light happy music he also had serious music, like in his late symphonies and ochestras. Later on Mozart incorporated styles of different countries into his pieces.

Mozarts Music
Mozarts most famous works are “ The Marriage of Figaro” and “ Don Giovanni.” The Marriage of Figaro is comic opera. Mozart composed this opera with Lorenzo da Ponte. People did not appreciate his music because they did not understand the complexity of his music. During the time he composed these two opera’s his health rapidly declined. On December the 5th 1791 he died from rheumatic fever....
