~~~ Chapter I: INTRODUCTION ~~~
In the 21st century, coffee is considered as a popular drink of choice for many people all over the world. Millions cup of coffee are consumed everyday by many kind of people such as students, employee, worker… Back to several years ago, this sort of drink was mainly consumed by the officers but now, this trend has changed dramatically. Nowadays, it is clearly that, the core customers of many coffee shops are students. According to www.dna.com.vn, the numbers of coffee shops for students are increasing rapidly and the young generations choose those coffee shops in order to slake their thirst. The reason why this drink has become a trend of young generation recently is that, there are a number of varied flavors and combinations available. Apart from that, every coffee shop has its own decoration which is suitable for each purpose. Therefore, students can easily find an appropriate place in order to study, relax or hang out with their friends. There are many coffee shops near the campus but the nearest take at least 10 minutes to reach. What happens if students want to have a cup of coffee during their 10 minutes break? They cannot go to the nearest coffee shop because they will be marked late for the next class. Having a coffee shop in campus is quite familiar with the students of many developed countries such as England, America …. However, this kind of business is really strange for the students in Viet Nam. Almost universities in our country just have canteen, which sell very different type of food and drink instead of concentrating on one thing (café) like a coffee shop. Sometimes, students just want to go somewhere and drink a cup of coffee without having to sniff the smell of fried food. Apart from that, opening a coffee shop for IBD is also an effective chance for IBD to advertise.
Because of many reasons which are mentioned above, I choose this topic to study about the opinion of IBD’s student intake 9 about opening an IBD coffee shop. Apart from that, I do this research to investigate the expectation of students on a coffee shop. Moreover, this field draws much of my attention. 3. Purpose of the research
My research aims at three targets.
First and foremost, my purpose is to understand the opinion of IBD students’ about the idea of opening an IBD coffee shop. Secondly, I can point out the favorable conditions and difficulties when opening an IBD coffee shop. Last but not least, my research concentrated on the expectation of IBD students on this coffee shop. 4. Research method
I carried out a survey on IBD students’ in order to collect primary data.
Secondary data was collected by reading others research which can be easily found on newspapers, magazines, internet . . . Tools:
In order to do this research, I probably used paper questionnaire and interview Sample:
100 students of IBD program from intake 9 will support me by answering all questions in the questionnaire.
