Online education Education is something precious that no one can take away from you, and is a valuable tool that can help you with many aspects of life. Education also empowers individuals to become more successful and independent, statics show that college graduates are more likely to have permanent jobs with less help from government aid. Individuals whom obtained a college education are nine times more likely to be happy in life, and more open minded. Speaking about this leads to the question is an online education effective? Regarding this, online education is more cost efficient and offers much more flexibility, and lets face it’s much more convenient to do school work in your pajamas inside the comfort of your own home. On top of that it is cost effective, not only do you save money on the course itself it also saves money on gas, parking, and campus housing. Online education also has flexible pacing, because online students can move at a faster or slower pace. Online education provides many benefits, all you need is a computer with internet accessibility, and then you can graduate from college at home. Furthermore this leads to the next debate, do online students sacrifice quality for flexibility? Statistics show that online students are having appreciating education, but completion rates are behind. In order to proceed with an online education you must have a lot of self-discipline. With online courses there is limited instructor interactions, so if you have a question or start to fall behind you can’t just raise your hand. Also if you are not technical with computers or do not have a reliable internet connection it will provide many difficult challenges. Online students who took all or part of their class work online performed better than classroom students taking all their work in class. Statistics don’t lie so according the stats traditional classroom students who took part of their work online by mixing it performed 77% better, according to a 2009 study from the department of education. Traditional education is a valuable way to learn, and online education becomes a good way to practice using technology. To conclude, online education should be intertwined with traditional school work.

Online courses use the same text and other academic materials as the traditional classroom. Although there is no "face to face" communication, there are other ways to communicate that is as effective. E-mails, text messages, classroom forums, and phone calls are the other options that are alternative to the "face to face" communication. The Quality of education does not always depend on the professor who is teaching a course, but on the will that the student has to learn.
