CONCEPT AND PRACTICE OF RETAILING

MY ONLINE BUYING EXPERIENCE
I am not a shopping addict but I do enjoy shopping in the comfort of my home. This happened couple years ago when I was looking for a birthday gift for my best friend, she loves chiffon blouse but she only have one chiffon blouse and she wore that blouse twice in a week. So my first idea is to search for them over the net to find the suitable blouse for her with the reasonable and affordable price. On that time, my budget was only RM50. Firstly, I don’t think I will found a blouse with that kind of price because chiffon is kind of expensive type of material, but exactly on that day I was about to search for that chiffon blouse, someone tag me on ‘Instagram’, a photo of a blouse and a link of the online store. I look on it with very happy and unbelievable feelings because I realize that it was what I’m really looking for. Chiffon blouse with her favourite colour, pink. The website was reliable and most of my friends are their loyal customers. The online store also capable to gain around 100 Malaysian customers per week.
The price for each blouse is RM30 but if we take two, they give RM50 for both blouses. I was like so excited and happy with the price because my target was RM50 for one blouse, but I will get two blouses with that kind of price. This was like a bonus for me, because I can use another blouse for my own because actually I’m a chiffon blouse lover too. So I ordered the blouses right away with my RM50 and no fee for postage and as I expected, my best friend like it so much.
I couldn’t believe I was so lucky on that day because I don’t need to go to shopping complex and find the chiffon blouse all over the shop. It wills just wasting my time and as I said, I’m not a shopping addict. So online shopping is the best choice for me to grab and find something that I want. Just lean on the chair, turn on the computer, scroll down and search for what type of things that I want and I will get

The pricelevel of COS is placed in the medsegment with dresses in the 50-100 EUR range and outerwear retailing for 80-230 EUR. According to Rebekka Bay, Creative Director of women's wear at COS "the focus is quality in terms of the fabrics, fit and finish. It’s ready-to-wear level design at high street prices." Meaning that COS provides an alternative to luxury brands rather than the cheaper retail chains, giving those, who would prefer to stock up on investment pieces but don't want to break the bank doing so, a great substitute.
