This also foreshadows what happens in the Russian Revolution where Lenin persuades the Russian people that the country should be a communist country. ‘I feel it my duty to pass on to you such wisdom’ This implies that the message he’s going to say is very important. ‘such wisdom’ is a hyperbole as he exaggerates his message.
George Orwell presents Old Major as a persuasive character by making every mistake that Mr Jones make into a big deal, this is shown by ‘Our lives are miserable,
