Old major persuades the animals to believe in his ideals by manipulating them. The language he uses is very manipulative and he always refer the animals to ‘Comrades’ which means friend or someone who is trusted, which catches their attention and persuade them. This also foreshadows what happens in the Russian Revolution where Lenin persuades the Russian people that the country should be a communist country. ‘I feel it my duty to pass on to you such wisdom’ This implies that the message he’s going to say is very important. ‘such wisdom’ is a hyperbole as he exaggerates his message.
