The zoo has lots of entertainment factors to it from wild fun shows to petting the animals. There is a reason why the Oklahoma City zoo is the best zoo in Oklahoma because it’s entertaining for all ages.
One of the main features in the Oklahoma City zoo offers is the different types of exhibits from the cat forest to the elephant habitat. “In Cat Forest, you'll get to visit a wide variety of cat carnivores--from snow leopards and jaguars to tigers and bobcats” ("Find the Explorer in You”). The Herpetarium has all kinds of snakes and amphibian you can imagine from king cobra to venomous Mexican beaded lizard. Another station is the aquatics; you can experience all sorts of marine life from sharks to upside down jellyfish. On Wednesday September 16th of 2015, I will be going to the Smithsonian National Zoo with a group of my friends. The Zoo was founded in 1889. It is one of the oldest zoos in the world. There are 1800 animals that live in the zoo. One of the most famous spots in the zoo for tourists to see is the Giant Panda exhibit. The giant pandas recently just gave birth to baby pandas. I have only been to the Smithsonian National Zoo once. I went in eighth grade for a school wide field trip. I love seeing animals and going to the zoo. Back where I am from (Delaware) there are not any zoos or big public attractions for young kids and teenagers.…

The narrator of this book has his own view about zoos. He tries to make it seem as if his view is absolutely true and is scientifically proven and that he is 100% politically correct. According to him a zoo to an animal is like a home to a human. But I totally disagree with his view on the zoos.…

LPZ has a huge variety of animals. For the sake of time, paper and my poor hands, I will just list some of the newest arrivals at the zoo both imported and born. These animals include 2 Baer’s Pochards, a rare species of duck, which breeds in eastern Russia, northeastern China, and also Mongolia (see website for more), 2 young Puerto Rican parrots(the most endangered species of bird in the world), and a baby Bactrian camel. STLZ has 5 “regions” for animals. These “regions” are River’s Edge, The Wild, Discovery Corner, Historic Hill and Red Rocks. Some new animals are 2 baby giraffes and new to Grizzly Ridge are 2 baby grizzly…

    Virginia Living Museum

The museum I chose to visit for my Cultural Event Report is The Virginia Living Museum. I attended 11/8/2011 with my boyfriend and his daughter. I loved the museum; it had so many different aspects to it and exhibits to see. The two exhibits I was intrigued by were The Virginia’s World of Darkness Gallery and The Virginia’s Underground Valley. The Virginia’s World of Darkness Gallery had a lot of different animals from sharks, which scare me but intrigue me, to moon jellyfish. It intrigued me because I used to go to the beaches around Virginia and would see shark fins and dolphin fins and always wonder about the animals and would love to see them in their habitat. This way you can actually see them and learn about them at the same time. There were other animals there as well like pine voles, flying squirrels, ghost crabs, bats, tree frogs, lobsters, and sting rays. They range from amphibians, aquatic life, mammals, birds, and reptiles. You can see each set of animals in their own habitat. I would definitely suggest everyone visit this museum if they are in the area.…

The major animals in the exhibit are the Lions, Leopards, and Hyenas. I chose these animals to be the major animals in the exhibit, not only because they’re popular animals, but because they happen to be the top predators in the biome. They might interact with each other by competing for necessities or using team work to catch prey.…

Hi, I’m Cody Jones. I’m really excited because today is the big day! My 2nd grade class and I are going to the Mythical Creature Zoo. We, here at the Mythical Creature Academy, are in the process training to be zookeepers there. At the zoo, there are SO many cool creatures! There are: hydras, Minotaurs, Hippogriffs, a unicorn petting zoo, mermaid aquarium with Kelpies and a Kraken, a Sphinx, and even a Centaur. Because Miss Taylor is such a good teacher, she taught us ALL about the cool creatures. Some things she taught me were: to not pet the Hippogriffs until they trust us, and that mermaid tears become aquamarine jewels! I think I’m set for this amazing trip to the MCZ!…
