For your carrier oil, you want an oil that has a neutral smell that does not go rancid quickly. Some options include:
Sweet Almond Oil
Grapeseed Oil
Jojoba Oil
Olive Oil
Fractionated Coconut Oil

If you want to make a solid perfume, use equal parts carrier oil and beeswax. Melt together gently and then add fragrance and pour into container for storage.
Top notes: 3 drops
Middle notes: 2 drops
Base notes: 1 drop
The top notes are the most pungent and volatile. They act quickly and disappear quickly, and their first impression only lasts for about 30 minutes. They stimulate and uplift.
The middle notes are more stable. Their scent unfolds anywhere from one hour to three hours after application. They soothe and balance the body, and they round out a blend with softer tones.

Once all the wax is completely melted, remove the wax mixture from the stove. My rule of thumb is 10 drops of essential oil per 16 fl. oz. It makes for a moderately scented candle. Use less or more depending on taste, and feel free to experiment and mix oils to create a scent of your own. Add the measured amount of essential oil to your wax mixture and give it a good stir to make sure it’s well-mixed.…

    Beard Oil Research Paper

I have the current situation personally tested twenty different brands beard oil - to clarify: different manufacturers beard oils. Usually you mix manufacturers together a large batch of oil to the perfume with different essential oil blends, but the oil itself is the same. And this is where it starts to get difficult. In English, there are wonderful word "carrier oil", which basically solely and exclusively to obtain the very bad translation "carrier oil" to Swedish. Main Oil or "Most-Percentage-Of-oil" would be better, but it goes wrong it. Oil carrier is thus determined out of the manufacturer and can in principle be any oil that is miscible, which means everything from apricot kernel oil to olive oil. Since this oil is diluted out…

But, each animal may react differently to different smells or they can be sensitive to some aromas making it necessary to dilute oils before using on you or the pet. You should also watch that any candles that are used are not left unattended because they can be easily knocked over by the pet. The pet may even try to lick the hot liquid from the candle. The same being true with dried potpourri flowers and aren't recommended either because the pet could try to eat them. Keep the oils well away from the pet's reach.
